amitroutray 384 Report post Posted September 26, 2012 Dear Josh want to share something during the FI03 stock rooted full wipe / data preserve Flashing what I have found, after the the flashing every thing behaves as normal. But after the Nandroid backup a error has coming sd-ext not found and also coming nandroid backup is completed. After that the SD Card problem is coming. I find it two times before the Galaxy ROM flashing and it is my personal experience. Presently I have not done the Bloatware Flashing. Can I do that Joshm. joshm 818 Report post Posted September 26, 2012 there is no need to flash the bloatware removal file as the galaxy ROM is already debloated.

joshm 818 Report post Posted September 27, 2012 UPDATE FI25 LEAK is out Salient features : will test it and then add the links and stuff. Following are the observations of the developers about the FI25 - Much more stable! - Feels super smooth! - Picture messages now send on 3G. - Connections seem to be much faster. - Battery percentage icon is off by default again. - Connection Optimizer is removed. - Backup and Restore is removed. - Several updated bloatware apps. - Taskmanager display bug is still there (not a big deal but everybody always asks).

joshm 818 Report post Posted September 28, 2012 Go to recovery Run the format all zip Reflash the rom. Make sure to backup all your apps and data before hand. If issue still persists then Odin back to fi03 stock rooted and start afresh. Regards Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk

joshm 818 Report post Posted September 30, 2012 (edited) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Caution caution caution caution caution~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just read a post at xda about. guy bricking his phone despite using safe recovery and calkulins format all zip. Here is his post --------------------------------------------So I just went from running pure stock rooted FI25, flashed agat's 0.5.4 source built kernel via odin, then rebooted into that custom recovery and flashed AOKP 3.1, flashed JB Gapps, and rebooted to blue LED. We all run the risk I guess; just frustrating to see it happen on a process I've done literally hundreds of times. Ordered a Jig and we'll see what happens. ------------------------------------------- My suggestion try and avoid doing a wipe, stay put with whatever ROM is there in your phone., if at all you need to change ROM, use one click Odin files only. You have been cautioned. Sent from the DAD of all S2s - The Epic Touch. Edited September 30, 2012 by joshm

joshm 818 Report post Posted October 5, 2012 Guyz How many of you are actually UNHAPPY with the GALAXY ROM tbh ,i simply love it , its a great rom TBH but stragely no one has posted any review about how its shaping upfor you in terms of usability , battery life , wifi quality and connectivity The Reason i have not posted any update up untill now is that i find this ROM top notch. still today i have for the heck of it tried another ROM ,which is also SUPER can say its at par with galaxy , once enough people willpost genuine reviews about the GALAXY ROM , i ll look into adding more updates about other roms see ya
amitroutray 384 Report post Posted October 5, 2012 (edited) Dear Josh no doubt this GALAXY ROM is very snappy and battery life is also good after the Calibration. No fear for Nandroid backup and sd card issues. But few things also want to share. some times it hangs within in a process and screen get blank. After few seconds it is back to normal. I know few bug remains and it is not bothering me. Sorry for the busy schedule can't share. Here are some Screenshots of Galaxy Addons... AOSP lockscreen for the Galaxy ROM The SAMSUNG GALAXY S III music player Here I ask something Josh, what is Hot Boot Again thanks for all your efforts.<img src='http://www.rimweb.in/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Edited October 5, 2012 by amitroutray
joshm 818 Report post Posted October 5, 2012 (edited) yes those black screens are actually due to the running of a few apps which have been removed by the calculin's bare rom converter script not ab great deal Edit Hot reboot is faster restart of the phone It just doesn't shut all the processes, instead keeps some in memory and reboots the phone faster. amitroutray 384 Report post Posted October 6, 2012 can zip files be flashed thro..stock recovery?1.or by mobile odin.. thanks.. Yes it will Flash through recovery. If it is a .tar or .md5 then Flash through Odin and if .zip then Flash through recovery. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
joshm 818 Report post Posted October 6, 2012 Zip files are to be flashed by custom recovery always the files that you are most probably gonna flash willrequire root or deodexed Roms so get rooted and get recovery. if you are rooted and got mobileodin then the .tar files of the same can be flashed with mobile odin generally good developers post zip as well as odin files of their addons. regards
