I believe Samsung has updated the display drivers and stuff. the display has improved a lot and I am loving it. There are far too many changes and practically all are so refreshing and great. The phone has been re invented in true sense. Just delete all the snaps of your contacts for now and you ll have no issues. If you want this to be more awesome ,just download titanium backup free from market and then backup and then uninstall all sprint crap like All share Media hub All Sprint apps except sprint hotspot Voice mail All safe to remove ,at least for me they are. sliver1 102 Report post Posted November 21, 2012 Updated successfully with Jellybean. want to say onething. after removing contact pics using the pic remover app we need to disable contact sync if not the pics come back and we will face problems as mentioned by Joshm. The display has improved a lot. The screen and colors are very bright and vivid. The letters and characters are very clear and easy to read. joshm 818 Report post Posted November 21, 2012 (edited) Please read carefully - this is important if you are planning or have flashed the Fk09 the most ( and i hope the only ) evident bug in Fk09 is phone freezing , and becoming totally unresponsive if a call is received from or made to a contact in your phonebook with a pictures. The easiest method is 1.. download contact picture remover app from playstore and install it 2.. switch off your data connection 3.. run the app and it will remove all pictures from your contacts 4.. once you do this > go to settings > accounts > google > and tap the gmail account in which you have stored all your contacts > UNCHECK the SYNC CONTACTS option 5.. and thats it , you can now switch on the data Plz note from now on whatever contact you are gonna create in your phone , will only be stored in phone only and it wont get updated to your address book in gmail account , so plz keep it in mind Once a new leak or official OTA comes which has the above bug fixed you can start the contacts syncing again. , till then you wont be able to see the pictures of your contacts on ur phone. BUG no 2 and its imp . while on calls your end will get muted intermittently, its called the MUTE BUG kinna nuisance but can be fixed by turning off proximity censor in call settings and by setting the screen timeout to may be 10 min 1.. hit phone > hit menu button > go to turn off screen while on call option and untick it . 2.. settings > display > screen timeout > set it to 10 min the key is to not let the screen turn off the entire time you are talking . this should fix it. You are really taking pains to get the best out of this beast! My bad that I do not own it anymore but then I got one for my partner today. Hope she doesn't mind myself tweaking her phone and messing with all new roms and stuff. IMHO when I used this phone the best stable setup was STOCK GB not sure about the radio and kernel though it was stock too. Then when I applied the initial two ICS update OTA for my phone I was at total loss. joshm 818 Report post Posted November 22, 2012 (edited) Great help Amit : Thanks dear speeding up and reducing background apps is simple . we have a Rooted rom , so download titanium backup free install run get over with the initial pop ups hit backup and restore button at top go and find sprint apps and all share apps hit each app one by one , first hit backup , once its backed up > hit uninstall and thats it i have removed all sprint apps , all stock games , allshare app , media hub , and voice mail app as well plus google magazine s, google movies and one more google something after that i rebooted phone then i installed spare parts plus rom mkt and insdtalled it after running it i selected fast option in windows animations and windows transitions , and thats it there is still a lot of bloat that one can remove , but to be on a safe side i ll exaplain that once agat releases a safe kernel for this rom with recovery Edited November 22, 2012 by joshm 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
