Recommended Posts

Hey all

ok as the title says ,

I am looking for some good but cheap GSM handset

could be flip or slider

brands : Nokia ( yeah , it can be nokia too ;) ) , Samsung , Blackberry or ny other well known brand

features , good looking screen , good call quality , good battery backup , if possible 3G compliant as well,

I can even import that myself from ebay no issues there, but if i can get from the trusted sellers would be great :)

budget , in any case not more than 4 or 5k

You are in luck buddy - Motorola flipout is just the telephone for you - http://m.gsmarena.com/motorola_flipout-3271.php - available on Ebay.com as well as XDA seller forums, good luck bargain hunting.

Please excuse typos and brevity, sent while mobile.

qwerty is not my liking, when it comes to flip or vertical sliders..

i like motorola krave zn4 a lot.. dr. muff was using one on reliance, requested him to sell it to me but he denied because the phone was not that good cosmetically, when he changed.. :)

I used to own a Sidekick LX 2009 with working 3G and its swivel screen is kick ***. Nothing beats it in the world, when it comes to flip phones and its a total show off. Only let down is that it's OS was discontinued long time ago and was based on a cloud service which cannot be accessed from a different region except US.

To my knowledge one choose flip if one type and text a lot.I wished a same flip cell 6 months ago. I got htc touch pro 2 (flip) and htc imagio (only touch).

In three months of use i felt that i rarely use keyboards and with a bit of practice typing go well in > 3.5 inch screen. Moreover i have 3 cells which work perfectly but the ribbon/flex cable. Flip phone will soon demand a flex cable connecting the screen and keyboard. So i feel its better to go for touch onlt for >3.5 screen rather than a touch + type even if you do lots of text.

Although I am more than happy with photon for its GSM usage but I all always keep an eye out for a nice slider or flip coz tbh I have never used either one.

Been so much into bars, ;)
