dr.faramroze 703 Report post Posted October 17, 2012 Now Epic and Nexus S does not need qpst for writing usr/pass. If the phone previously has ev/1x settings of Sprint, should be removed and made blank. Edit apns-conf and manually edit Sprint apn with Reliance mdn/mdn or net/net. Apn shortcut may not be available, use anycut>activity>apn. Write new apn and save. Reboot. Sent from my EVO 3D on Reliance using Tapatalk Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

dr.faramroze 703 Report post Posted October 27, 2012 Does the phone not support data on RUIM? If yes then which operator by default? Or this phone does not provide data on RUIM (roaming mode)? Ok. I will see if it can be done. Phone is rooted or not? Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

dr.faramroze 703 Report post Posted December 14, 2012 Uploading a few sample apn-conf files of Sprint and MTS. Also see the modified apns-conf file for universal Reliance 'net' usr/pass. Can use the Reliance apn-conf file but rename it to 'apns-conf' and place it in etc folder by root explorer. ::: VA ::: 531 Report post Posted December 19, 2012 ^^^ please clarify. can i remove my current apns-conf file and replace it with the one for reliance above given by you after changing its name. or do i modify the information on my existing file , if yes then do i change all cariers or just one of sprint (even sprint has four entries i have already mentioned in my previous post - shown below) /> <apn carrier="Sprint" mcc="310" mnc="120" apn="cinet.spcs" user="none" server="*" password="none" mmsproxy="68.28.31.7" mmsport="80" mmsc="http://mms.sprintpcs.com" type="mms" /> <apn carrier="Sprint" mcc="310" mnc="120" apn="mms_over_wifi" user="*" server="*" password="*" mmsproxy="68.28.31.7" mmsport="80" mmsc="http://mms.sprintpcs.com" type="wifi" /> <apn carrier="Sprint APN" mcc="316" mnc="010" apn="cinet.spcs" user="none" server="*" password="none" mmsproxy="68.28.31.7" mmsport="80" mmsc="http://mms.sprintpcs.com" type="default" /> <apn carrier="Sprint" mcc="316" mnc="010" apn="mms_over_wifi" user="*" server="*" password="*" mmsproxy="68.28.31.7" mmsport="80" mmsc="http://mms.sprintpcs.com" type="wifi" /></apns> Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

::: VA ::: 531 Report post Posted December 19, 2012 ^^^ I use ES File explorer for full root access. But i found i dont have any cust folder to remove. also does my photon have to be tweaked in advance to support ruim or will these changes enable that too. as previously i have read posts which suggest using qpst to change simple ip only & ruim support. dr.faramroze 703 Report post Posted December 19, 2012 Replacing apns-conf file to etc folder will enable us to add custom apns on nv/ruim. All phones do not have cust folder. After putting reliance apns-conf into etc folder, install anycut.apk. Make a shortcut on homescreen, select anycut>activity>apns. Add new apn. Enter your evdo or net usr/pass. Scroll down and look for MCC-MNC if it shows 404-00, if it shows only then your new apn will be saved. Reboot! If still data isn't connecting, then open qpst and enable ruim if avail option and reboot. Sent from Sensation XE using Tapatalk Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
