commonman 228 Report post Posted October 13, 2012 the free bundled offer is only for new customers prepaid or postpaid. handset is RUIM based locked over Reliance network. have to activate EVDO from backend. When existing users are saying not enough Handset options available and contemplating porting to GSM wonder how many New users would be interested in a new cdma connection or this phone. that is the paradox.as usual, RCom does not give any benefit to its existing loyal customers, many of whom may have been interested if similar bundle offers were given to them. very few non-customers may be willing to take a new connection with a locked handset.so no one knows who RCom is targeting. The thing is this problem is inherent across operators/service providers they try to please new customers and rope them in rather than ensuring existing royal customers are happy and satisfied.I guess with existing customers these operators have a Chaltha hai attitude. kshah 452 Report post Posted October 14, 2012 Why be loyal? Now a days with port out facility, I believe no one have right to complaint about operator, we are with them due to our own reasons.
sougatadc 358 Report post Posted October 14, 2012 (edited) Is this the FIRST CDMA smartphone launched by Reliance? What about Samsung Galaxy S aka Fascinate/Mesmerize? Or Galaxy i899? Or is this a pioneer for having bundled offer? Edited October 14, 2012 by sougatadc

sougatadc 358 Report post Posted October 15, 2012 ^ Do you mean to say 'proprietary CDMA smartphone'? There are so many proprietary handsets that Reliance markets e.g. Classic (made by ZTE, LG, etc) Even Nokia 6275 was marketed bearing 'Reliance' logo. Sent from my HTC One X So existing RCDMA OMH RUIM should work in this handset? Should not be number locked Wonder why Reliance don't make good handsets available for existing users. Now unnecessary have to take a new RCDMA connection, use it for 6 months and then throw it. These guys are moron !!

mywebid 21 Report post Posted October 18, 2012 (edited) btw, noticed that the several handsets like Huawei C8600 are listed at http://www.rcom.co.i...andset/cdma.jsp Was this handset available at Reliance outlets ever? Never saw it. Have been visiting several Reliance outlets since last year to check if any good handset is available. All they had were 1-2 cheap ZTE handset of Rs. 800-1000 Edited October 18, 2012 by mcwintek

mywebid 21 Report post Posted October 18, 2012 Quality of ZTE products has always been inferior to huawei and other brands Hmm.. in think in order of quality Huawei > ZTE > Coolpad Let's see how this handset is after someone gets this in his hands. Is this even worth 6777 or not? The bundled offer (if it is offered) are not worth more than 3000. Huawei C8600 looks kind of ok, but it looks that it only made to rcom site in handset section and never on shelves of Reliance stores
