Gopal Rengan 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 Hi, I am thinking of buying Nokia 6585. So, wanted to know how good the handset is and the price of the handset. I was able to get some info from other topics on this. On Feb 1, there was a post from vb86 (under the topic "CDMA prices slashed") saying that the price was close to Rs.6900. And then, on March 25th there was another post from mitul_mehta (under the topic "All about Nokia 6585") saying that the price was Rs. 7131 INCLUDING A PREPAID CONNECTION. I currently live in Bangalore and yesterday when I went to the WebWorld, I was told that the price now is Rs. 7200. I was surprised because I was expecting the price to be 6900 or less. There was no clear answer from the WebWorld people. Is the price different from city to city? Can someone give the price of Nokia 6585 in your city, please? Thanks, Gopal
Chirag 5 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 WebWorlds sell at MRP and hence the price would be quite high! What u could do is find some dealers in your city who sell Reliance handsets, and get to know from them abt the current rates. Dealers usually have higher profit margins and hence can sell at prices lower than MRP. And yeh, remember to ask them if the handset is box-packed and also will u get a reciept wid it.(Without the reciept u might lose out on the warranty)
mitul_mehta 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 (edited) hi i live in mumbai but i am shifting to pune (got a new job) so i thought i would buy the handset from pune itself. Fortunately unlike mumbai, pune webworlds had it hence i bought it . the price on the list was 7131+ prepaid gsk. however, suprisingly,on his system the price was 7161 so he asked me to pay 30 more. i fought for it and said there are some business ethics to maintained. hence i got it for 7131. in mumbai it is avaialbe at Nokia priority dealer at crossroads at the 7300. however the price at mumbai webworld is 7321. hope this clears the doubt in your mind. till date i havent seen anybody selling this model below 7k so the 6.8k or 6.9k thing is just a rumour which may turn out to be true in the near future till now its a lie. cheers, mitul Edited April 6, 2005 by mitul_mehta
vb86 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 gopal, the prices quotes were for unprogrammed sets. The charges for the GSK were seperate. I can say that because i had purchased the 6225 for the price mentioned by me. chirag, this was the rate in the "webworld" near my house, not any other store. mitul, the prices are what i saw at the webworld. I had mentioned it for the benifit of all the forum members since the price drop was considerable. I dont get any pleasure in spreading false roumors over the net.
