Authentication Failure On Connection

hey guys...

thanks for all the input provided on getting my phone working on my mac.

Now this is the problem...

- I typed in my RIM no. 93******** as my User ID and password...

- made sure that all the error tabs/TCPIP header compression/wait for Dial tone... etc.. are not checked..

- I then ask it to connect...which it does...coz i can see the phone showing the connect symbol...

- BUT!!! it doesn't authenticate... it disconnects...

- the comp is still disconnecting...

- my phone (the modem) disconnects and I get the words "PPP Data" on screen and it gets connected...

- remember, my comp is still disconnecting...

- i then have to cut my phone off... and then I get an error message on my comp which says "Authentication Failed"...

so that's the latest problem...

thanks guys.. this is where I found a solution to my last problem.. am hoping i can find an answer to this one too...

well... i do not really know how to elaborate on this...

I've put down exactly what happens each time i try to connect...

It tells me that I cannot connect coz my authentication failed.

am really sorry but this is driving me crazy...

i think ganesh means u to provide more details on ur phone model, com/port, os...and stuff like that.
