The most impressive features for me are: 21x Optical zoom & 16MP for a point-and-shoot. Jelly Bean OS Freeze and Trace (shoot like a pro without knowing the technics). Slow motion video 4.7" display voice control love the design with frigging 3G and wi-fi Auto Cloud backup Bluetooth 4.0 1 GB RAM Google play store for dedicated apps World's first Android Camera - photography will never be the same again!! The review says “Outside of its relatively high cost of ownership and average point-and-shoot picture quality, the Samsung Galaxy Camera definitely delivers the shoot-and-share experience of a smartphone with the features of a compact camera.” Engadget says “One feature that will cause little debate is the big, bright and extremely rich HD Super Clear LCD. It's only when you start taking photos through a window of this size -- perhaps on a Galaxy S III or a Galaxy Note II -- that you realize how much a large screen helps with framing and composition.” It also discusses the problem with audio when you record video. The report observes that “the only slight issue with video recording is that audio volume dips noticeably when you engage the zoom.” Android community concludes, “In short: the Samsung Galaxy Camera is a big win for Samsung, bringing a great mix of what their cameras without Android are able to bring to the party with all of the greatness of their Galaxy line of smartphones. This device is indeed a connected camera rather than a smartphone that just happens to have a great shooter, and with this assimilation comes a relatively new (though not entirely unique) product.” TechRadar has given this device a rating of 4.5 and calls the product “one of the biggest surprises from the Korean firm”. The review says “The other features, such as HDR mode, Beauty mode, Panorama and Smile Shot, all offer excellent picture quality if you're into that sort of thing - although we can't really see a use for Cartoon other than for those who want a blurry mess to show to friends.” Slashgear opines “The Samsung Galaxy Camera is a first-generation product, and they inevitably carry a compromise. In this case, it’s a case of price and expectations: do you spend your money on a great camera, or on a good camera with the added benefit of social options we simply haven’t seen offered on a point-and-shoot before? It’s undoubtedly a niche product, but the convenience and flexibility is addictive, and we’re left hoping Samsung sticks with the concept for at least a second-generation to broach the mass market.” The verdict from T3 says “While we were initially skeptical about the need for an Android-based camera, we were impressed with the Samsung Galaxy Camera. We particularly liked the snapper's physical design as well as the large, HD screen. We looking forward to testing the camera out in the wild.” The final word from DPReview says “The Samsung Galaxy S III is in many respects one of the currently most advanced smartphones and fun to use as a phone and as a camera. The Samsung is very responsive and allows for burst shooting and very fast shot-to-shot times. The camera app offers a very comprehensive feature set with an efficient HDR mode and a partly customizable user interface but the image quality is not quite up with the best in class.
