montsa007 1 Report post Posted December 18, 2012 I've purchased a Motorola Electrify (US Cellular) for a relative of mine. Am not sure if its on 2.3.4 or 2.3.5, what I wish to know is -Can this device be rooted and then installed with ICS (As Gingerbread is way too old now) -Will ICS installation support Reliance's Network or do I have to do something extra (He has a Reliance CDMA sim card)
kundalus 24 Report post Posted December 18, 2012 Photon was deprived of ICS but m sure most of the ppl in this forum and around the world will agree to it. U can install custom ICS ROM which are pretty stable and almost everything works fine. As far as support on RCDMA is concerned, it should work but u should not flash another ROM on it, it can wipe ur settings.
montsa007 1 Report post Posted December 18, 2012 ^Bit confusing as you say -Fine to root and install custom ROM -Don't flash "another" rom as Reliance CDMA (sim based) will not work!?
