RIMweb.in 9th Anniversary!

It's great to share with you the 9th Anniversary of RIMweb.in as yet another eventful year has passed by. It has always seemed possible and today we are here celebrating an occasion close to our hearts!

In 2012, we saw an upsurge in smartphone usage and popularity among our members thanks to Android. RIMweb.in would like to thank all its handset sellers for bringing a wide range of high end CDMA handsets for all members at the cheapest prices and for offerring a hassle free experience with activating both voice and data services on the Reliance CDMA network. The Reputed Seller Group members deserve a special mention for making the voice/data activation process much easier for everyone on their high end CDMA handsets which would have otherwise been a tough nut to crack on CDMA.

Given the enormous growth and development of the smartphone & tablet market in 2012, we can expect some highly groundbreaking developments for high speed data services in 2013. It is shaping up to be the year of 4G / LTE in India according to the industry analysts. Reliance Industries' telecom subsidiary, Infotel Broadband, is expected to be game changer who is getting ready to unleash voice over data services when it launches high-end data services hopefully by the second half of 2013. Infotel Broadband is expected to shake up the telecom market in the same way as it did about a decade ago when it rolled out low-cost mobile services. We have now added a separate section for Infotel Broadband 4G LTE and will evolve it further according to the developments in the future.

We would like to give a heads up that our Super Moderator Ashok Karkera is organizing a RIMweb Meet in Mumbai on the 6th of January, 2013. The date & place is tentative as of now; and you can keep in sync about the event in the forum topic and/or Facebook Group page:

Keeping in sync with the latest happenings in the telecom & communications industry in India, RIMweb.in has always received commendable support from all you members! Not to forget, RIMweb.in is an unbiased independent / unofficial public discussion forum for the Reliance Mobile subscribers community and evolved later to support the entire Indian telecommunication industry. Today we can proudly say that the discussion forum has managed to help and support fellow members for all their queries, grievances and become a platform for sharing experiences in an efficient and effective manner. It has been a long plausible journey has left its marks on the Internet and in the hearts of many, individually.

On behalf of all the members & moderators at RIMweb.in, we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year - 2013 too!

As part of the anniversary celebrations... and throwing the toast... we have a lot of goodies for you - the members who has made RIMweb what it is today!

We are giving away online vouchers worth Rs.500, Rs.250 and Rs.100 to the top contributing 50 members. The top members have been filtered based on the Reputation points received during the past 1 year (December 23, 2011 - December 22, 2012) and the number of posts in the past year as well. The top 5 members will get Rs.500 worth online voucher, next 20 members will get Rs.250 worth online voucher and the remaining 25 members will get Rs.100 worth voucher.

The online recharge vouchers can be redeemed for anything that is transact-able online like Mobile recharge, DTH recharge, etc. that is convenient to you. All the winners will be contacted individually by email (registered for your RIMweb.in account) with the details after January 2, 2013. You will be contacted by email only (and NOT PM), so please make sure that the email address in your profile is updated by then.
