Saurav 22 Report post Posted December 27, 2012 I am using a Dell Laptop and I have recently upgraded to Windows 8 64 Bit. As my Dell support Free service time has come to an end I am unable to get Dell Technical support. There are few software which Dell is providing free of cost with Dell Laptop. I am unable to locate them on their website. If someone can please help me with link for those it will be of great help. Software compatible for Windows 7 will also work on Windows 8. I need the following on priority: 1 Digital Persona Fingerprint Suite Dell 2. Dell Webcam Central I hope as these are freebies so I am not violating Forum policy. csmart 472 Report post Posted December 27, 2012 Go to support.dell.com and then select the criteria ie Home Users, enterprise or other. after that the next page will ask you to enter service tag no. You will find your service tag at the bottom/base of your laptop. Based on your tag, you can find all drivers and software. Generally you also get a CD with the system. Otherwise this is the best option. Besides, many software are just addons and also hog your memory. I just installed required drivers and other software that I need. Note Down the php device id on a paper. and go to http://www.pcidatabase.com and try to search with device list or if you know search with vendor. If you luck enough, you will get a link for drivers. some times, though your laptop is dell, you have to select another vendor as the driver is common for both the companies as the hardware is used commonly. My laptop has Dell Facial Recognition and Not Fingerprint Recognition.. Can give that to you..
