Droid DNA Tethering Issue

Hello, recently got a DNA.. its a mean machine for sure but I am hating this stupidity done by verizon.

I cannot tether my data to PC anyways (wifi, usb, bluetooth) as it requires LTE SIM inserted..

I wonder if we can have a work around for that as I use my phone's data only and no other way to access net.

For tethering on droid dna you need 3rd party apps like wifi tether and also if your phone needs to be rooted as this is the case on most verizon phones were inbuilt hotspot application doesnt work.

@ Rajan ji, yea data working on phone.

@ Nik, third party apps are of no use aswell, tried and tested.. Rooted today and now with custom rom... makes no difference

yea, you are right about LTE SIM.. but I have my standby gsm number in it.. thats why dont really want to put a dummy sim in there

Try this app...

Set profile to generic ics/jb (wlan0) and check routing fix. See if that works.

Sumit use FoxFI and forget everything

I have bought few LTE sim card for these kind of stuff ping me if you want

FoxFI is good app not needing root but its not supported on Devices with 4.1 as of now for wifi tether.

FoxFi installed and was about to run but same LTE SIM error was there...

@ Hetal ji, 1 little bit left which is highly irritating, often switches between 1x and evdo how can that be fixed please help

Hello Gurus,

I'm also thinking of buying this beast. However I only intend to use it to GSM.

Are there any issues at all with GSM usage ? I don't do tethering much , so just need call,sms,data(3g).

Also I have heard that some verizon phones (like i535 galaxy s3) that can work well with some gsm providers (MTNL,BSNL) and doesn't work well with others (Vodafone). Is there same issue with this also ?

How is the battery life Sumit ji?? The non-removable battery is bothering me..

Please don't compare it to EVO/3D.. Can it live 50% of RazrMAXX time or say can it last one FULL day???

Same dump working perfect on my old evo 3d, but when I use on DNA, speed is low and there is an often switch between Evdo and 1x, I have to even reboot the phone to get back Evdo.
