commonman 228 Report post Posted February 28, 2013 I have recently got a TP-Link MR3020 3G/4G router. I tried to connect my existing MTS ZTE AC2766 through it. The modem setup already had the option for connecting to MTS with user-id & password and I have selected and saved them. But even after stting this, first the router is taking ages to detect the modem and even after detecting it is not connecting. It displays "connecting.." but never connects. Cane anyone pelase help. commonman 228 Report post Posted February 28, 2013 (edited) Thanos for the help. Finally managed to get through to their customer care number. Apparently the toll free number works only from mobile. Seems the problem is witj the firmwire. The latest firmware has this problem. Thecustomer care guy noted the problem and mailed me the earlier firmware and mts data settings. On updating the firmware now the modem and router is working fine<br /> Edited February 28, 2013 by commonman

rajanmehta 4,056 Report post Posted February 28, 2013 ^ ^ ^ His model is MR3020 while Yours is 3040. Model is different. Don't use his model firmware or you may mess up the device. You can download the firmware for 3040 from here >> http://www.tplink.com/in/products/details/?categoryid=218&model=TL-MR3040#down

amit.shippie 135 Report post Posted March 1, 2013 Worked with the old firmware....Only problem is router will not work if only 1x is available...
commonman 228 Report post Posted March 1, 2013 Are you sure the MTS modem is set to Hybrid mode and not to Broadband mode? Otherwise the modem would not work in 1x. Make sure to change the mode of the Modem by using on a PC and using the MTS connection software.
