Following was the report by an actual user yesterday on this thread >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41832773&postcount=9 I upgraded on Verizon and then traveled to Europe on the same day. All was working well with Verizon in the US. I then put in a sim card I bought when I arrived, and it worked for calling as soon as it started (no changes required). The add apn setting was greyed out, but it worked anyway. I put in the appropriate apn settings and it now does mobile data, voice, and sms. I dont know about MMS, yet. I did all this without root access, but I went ahead and did the root procedure this morning. I have to go to another country in 2 weeks, and I may get a different sim. If so, I will update after that. I do have a persistant warning in the status bar telling me I am using a non-Verizon sim, but no other ill effects. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Here's good news for you, the device has recently received an official price cut in the Indian market, barely a month after its launch. The phone, which launched in India on the day of its global launch at a price tag of Rs 41,500, is now selling at Rs 40,300 on Samsung India e-store. This translates to a discount of Rs 1,200. The company is also offering a 12-month EMI option for the device. However, while the official price cut is recent, some of the major e-commerce websites in the country like Flipkart and Snapdeal have been selling Galaxy S4 at this price since many weeks now. In fact, some of the smaller online retailers are selling the device for under Rs 40,000. Another smartphone to receive a price cut is Samsung's week-old phone Galaxy Grand Quattro. The company's cheapest phone with quad-core processor was listed at Rs 18,260 on the India website at the time of launch. The device is now priced at Rs 16,900, a reduction of Rs 1,360. krishnendu halder 24 Report post Posted June 5, 2013 actually the display of activ might be better without the oversturated power hungry amoled..eager to see the reviews,the 8mp camera is a drawback though not a deal breaker.Another disadvantage regarding camera is lack of dual shot(source gsmarena).
