Avast Antivirus Malware Notification on Android (Nexus 4G)

Dear friends,

I have Avast Antivirus app installed on my Nexus S 4G since long.

But today Avast is continuously alerting me thru notification about Malware infection to around 10 of my regular apps, it includes system apps like Galary etc.

When I try to solve the same as per recommendation from Avast, it suggest me to uninstall all the infected apps. It is allowing only 15 uses if I don't act as per their suggestion.

Finally I have un installed Avast instead of 10 suggested apps to get rid of the notification.

Any body else faced such problem...

Pls guide what to do in such situation as I want avast to be installed again.

Yes, this false alarm is being reported in CM forums too... Looks like Avast has become mad. it shows Gallery, Viber and soo many apps incl GMail (installed from PlayStore) as malware. Even the victims reported that they uninstalled avast and then installed AVG/some other AV and they didn't report any threats...


So please go ahead and uninstall those apps (Avast and other anti-virus sw)...



P.S. :-

Anti-Virus is a waste of memory and time, imho if (1) you know what you are doing or (2) You don't install apps apart from good app-stores (like Play, Amazon, etc)...

Further these Anti-Virus sw companies will spread fear and rumor, so that their business will flourish... Just my 2 cents paise...
