ami1 237 Report post Posted April 1, 2013 Is it possible to get a Verizon Blackberry Z10 to work on Reliance CDMA once its MEID is registered ? Or does it need extensive programming etc ? If possible, then will there be any issue of PIN (say in BBM or appworld) ? though BES/BIS is no longer essential now. Reason I am asking is that I have bought a Z10 (GSM) but my office number seems to be having issues in getting ported to Reliance GSM. Lot of verizon Z10 are available (even with unlocked GSM) and I am thinking if my porting doesn't happen then can i buy a verzon z10 and use on RCDMA ? 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ami1 237 Report post Posted April 4, 2013 Gurus, Please put in some advise here. Even if it is to confirm it can't be done. so that I can decide accordingly and shift handset or something. I am FED UP of vodafone 3G now. Everyone in my building used to say its great but its really ****ty. For a few days I even thought I need to get my ears checked I think once you have tasted CDMA its pretty difficult to go to GSM. Unless they come up with full 3G coverage and HD Voice. Only data is faster but then as soon as I enter my house its on Edge, though just outside the door is shows HSPA+ Have stopped call forward from my main RCDMA number to my BB Z10 now as I can't make out what's being said. I think none of the gurus can answer conclusively unless they have the handset in hand and check out the possibility. pakve 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2014 I have been searching for the one that works on RCDMA. STL100-4 model looks to be for CDMA. Even I was searching the same and didn't get a clue. There are few sellers mentioning STL100-4 availability online. Don't want to take this risk for Z10 as I been with RCDMA since last 10 years. Let me know if you have any update. Thank you. SumitVerma 187 Report post Posted October 3, 2014 Just to use calling facility,I dont think you require to get the meid registered or anything. Just wipe the phone completely and pop in the cdma SIM.
