For voice clarity buy a phone with secondary noise cancellation mic. I suppose both Photon and Bionic fit your budget. Edit: Misread your post. I thought your budget was 10k-12k. Actually I also wanted to reply the same exact thing but then decided that may be it is beyond the scope. But no doubt note 2has the best ever sound clarity I have come across till date. funky_ace 16 Report post Posted April 26, 2013 iPhone's call quality is really great but the only one that will fall into your budget is iPhone 4. Most people prefer to buy current gen Android rather than buying two gen old iPhone. Beyond that its personal preference. I knew about GN2's signal strength but I didn't recommend it knowing that it wouldn't fall into your budget. There are phones out there carrying far better radio than GN2 but recommending you those won't do you any good cause they are really expensive. I would suggest you to stick with Droid Razr series, I suppose its M that is making news. You can also go for iPhone 4 but again, think carefully before making such a decision. One more thing, ask around about GSIII signal strength and call quality. Don't know much about it, maybe it is comparable to GN2. A used one will fall into your budget too. prem5 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2013 friends, Practical is more trusted. today i tested my friends razr maxx in villages where signal was low.all test with bsnl sims. RESULT surprised me- all 2000-3000 costing phones were having good signals than my friends razr maxx!!!!!!!!!!! even when my brother called from city to our numbers, he couldnot get call to razr maxx but EACH call was coming to low rates samsung nokia etc. Also, surprised that galaxy s2 bought from usa was having zero network. conclusion:- all foreign handsets like razr maxx, galaxy s2(at&t) etc were not able to get signals but all indian sets were very fine in those areas too. i may be wrong but it was practically seen with same operator sim and various handsets tested. i am now still more confused Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

So US phones are OK wrt Indian CDMA operators (mainly due to usage of 850 MHz) and bad for new GSM operators... BUT among all US phones, Motorola has relatively better coverage from my experience...
