samed 3 Report post Posted January 10, 2014 I have a unusual problem my droid razr m. Whenever I receive a call, the other party is not able to hear me. This happens around 1 in 5 times. Not a consistent pattern. If I call them, they are able to hear me crystal clear. The microphone works fine for other applications like skype/line. I am rooted and on android 4.1.2 Any suggestions to fix/debug such issues. I have already checked the mic is absolutely fine. Voice recording works as well. Searched internet, found people had similar issues, but no solution. RIM Gurus please help

samed 3 Report post Posted January 15, 2014 Finally figured it out in my problem. The sim is the problem. I used the same sim in another handset and it still had the same issues. Hence conlcuded it was an issue with sim. Thanks to Hitesh Kakkad, for patiently listening to all my problems
samed 3 Report post Posted January 18, 2014 Providing an update for the forum: I am on Tata cdma network, Andhra Pradesh. I had ported from Airtel to Tata around 2 years back. I am facing the following issue: Call originating (incoming) from any other operator apart from Tata CDMA network has difficulty reaching me, that is the call does not get connected properly. The originating caller does not hear any ringing tone, but the call gets connected and at the destination end(TATA CDMA), I receive the call normally, but the originator does not hear my voice. I am able to hear them properly. Some times the call does not get thru and the orignator receives an annoucement as unreachable. And some times it works normal. The problem happens only with incoming calls. Spoke to a senior technical agent in Tata network, he said, this is an switching issue. Faced only with ported numbers. I exactly dont remember how the switching between networks is done when a number is ported. Does anyone have details for switching for MNP? Is it still routed thru the home operator? Vinod Nayak 443 Report post Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) Flash Failure, how do I get out of this? Can't reboot the phone. It's stuck in this mode. Can anyone help. SOLVED I downloaded the latest firmware from http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=8 Flashed after removing the lines containing OEM, VAR & GETVAR, earlier I got a FAIL because the firmware was older than that I had in my phone & and also it's xml file did not contain any of the above mentioned words. nikme 177 Report post Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) Just saw the image I guess try sbf ing with rsd lite. Because once the battery goes down you have to either take the battery out and charge directly or use Motorola factory cable to turn on the phone to do anything. Vinod Nayak 443 Report post Posted January 20, 2014 Can u erase "getvar" "OEM" name lines from XML files Sent from my XT907 They did not have those words and the Razr M does not allow you to downgrade, the firmware was older than that I had in my phone. Downloaded the latest, removed those words and flashed. Got a pass. Phew Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
Vinod Nayak 443 Report post Posted January 20, 2014 Just saw the image I guess try sbf ing with rsd lite. Because once the battery goes down you have to either take the battery out and charge directly or use Motorola factory cable to turn on the phone to do anything. Was scared that if I didn't solve this problem soon before my battery dies, I would be in a bigger problem. If you hold the power button for more than 2 secs and let go, the phone would power down, but would be in FASTBOOT mode when you try to power up. So I knew I had to work and search fast, finally figured it out after one of the fellow member on XDA pointed that I was trying to flash a older firmware which the phone does not allow.
