Tanveer with towel root sucess also boot loader unlock is possible . Search in droidrazr.com

After rooting droid razr m,the update is still coming,so root is not helpfull,.

Unlock the bootloader and install twrp it may help.

Bootloader for razr m can be unlocked. Update to Kitkat to unlock. I have successfully updated to Kitkat and unlocked bootloader.

Follow the points in order to upgrade to kitkat and unlock bootloader.

1). Download 4.4.2 kitkat sbf (VZW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-10.1_CFC_1FF.xml.zip)

2). Install Java (1.7 or later) if not already installed. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-se-jre-7-download-432155.html

3). Download RSDScriptGenerator from https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byqu946SkZuqQ2pGNWlUT1M3YUE/edit?usp=sharing

4). Extract the zip file from step 1 and copy RSDScriptGenerator inside the extracted folder.

5). Run RSDScriptGenerator.jar and select the xml file and then click on generate scripts. It will generate 3 xml files FULL, KEEP-DATA and UNIVERSAL.

6). Select Keep-Data if you want to keep all the apps and data or universal for full flash.

7). Now connect your razr m in ap fastboot mode and flash using rsdlite 6.1.4

8). After flash download and install towelroot (tr.apk) from https://towelroot.com/ by clicking on lambda image. This will root the device by installing super user.

9). Install motopocalypse apk from https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byqu946SkZuqbFhVSFVpQVBQS3M/edit?usp=sharing

10). Start motopocalypse and press unlock bootloader. Provide permission once it asks for root permission.

11). Boot into ap fastboot and check status code 3 and unlocked.

Note: I will not be responsible if you brick your device in the unlock process.

can you confirm data working with RUIM and wifi tethering also working or not?

@guru still not able to test data with ruim. cdma sim cards are out of stock at web world. will soon try to get omh card to test if data works or not.

Hi there...

Waiting with interest on your attempt.

As for me, even if this works, I will need a week at least to see if it is my cup of tea.. As it is, most of these words are difficult to understand. For someone who has not attempted rooting, it could be disastrous to miss one step.

I recently got a XT907 phone with kitkat 4.4.2 preloaded. I got a standard OMH simcard from reliance web world and got it cut to micro sim size. The data was not working initially but started working after entering the APN details.

Edit: Mobile hotspot is also working by using the default app.

Add option is not coming in Razr m while using CDMA sim.So not able to add APN also.

for GSM it is showing add option in APN, but for cdma it is not showing.

@venbab does this sim card have RECREU 06 series as start. It would be very helpful if you could update the details that you entered while adding APN. I get the plus sign to add APN. But once I save it nothing adds up to the list.

@gurugopalji In perticular Sim of rcdma u seen add apn option with this fetures ur add apn manually in cdma and use data in kk.
