Visited the webworld today to meet the owner a friend of mine. My S3 only showed 1x inside but his Reliance tab and Samsung Corby Registered 3G.

We did a YouTube test on both.

His tab played the song continuously without the need to buffer in between. My S3 did not even play the damn song.

What could be the problem ? Is it the Radio of this phone ?

We both were in a showroom inside which is hardly 6ft from the main road.

I'm rooted On CM10. Will revert back to stock and see the result in a few days. Really wish there was a solution for this. Anyone has any clue as in why this is happening?

Gurus- I am facing a strange problem here. While i connected Sprint S3 for the first time, i was able to connect it to WS 2.7 by latching to the com port after getting in diag mode(rmnet+dm+modem). I was even able to unlock the set by entering samsung default password (while it was not getting spc unlocked) and then flashed reliance parameters. After the phone got reset, i checked for prl in the handset which was 1005, which meant i was able to flash the parameters.

But then after that, i am able to connect my phone to ws2.7 by latching to the com port, but when i go to read or enter spc/etc, it gives an error "Failed... Phone does not answer". I tried removing the phone and connecting it again, changing the port, reinstalling drivers, but same issue. Request help from gurus..

Its resolved by hard resetting.

If you have the sprint automatic connections selected it will keep switching on your wifi to check for the most optimum connection. Its under more settings : mobile settings.

Oh yeah I have enabled the sprint connection optimizer. No wonder it's switchg from evdo to WiFi due to poor connectivity. Thanks doc.

May i also request to kindly upload the apk for "ncarry". It is not downloadable via unrooted imported phones. Coz even market enabler works only on rooted phones as far as i know.

Everything is working, thank God.

Now only problem is that without SIM in the sim slot I receive notification (this is ongoing and can't be removed)

With Idea SIM in it still shows Non-Verizon SIM in notification (and this also does not go)

Great thing is I am able to switch to GSM mode and make receive calls and connect in 3G mode for data.

Can some one tell me how to remove the sim notification?

Also Is there a way to Play with ROMs without running the risk to get locked without activated verizon sim?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

What about Flashing ROMs or deleting bloatwares, or factory resets, how far I can go, I am OK with ODIN, CWM, and other basic stuff, BUT people have scared me about the Verizon and information is scanty on net.

I find that generic unlock code may be entered somwhere on detection of non-verizon sim from following opening post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1777940

But where I do not know.

Also I have CDMA ws latest addition, if that may help me get rid of this small issue as well.

Off course I am loving it and going to enjoy every bit of it.

I have got rid of the " non-Verizon SIM..." notification

I installed titanium backup and was freezing the bloatware and apps I generally don't use. After reboot notification was gone.

AND MY PHONE IS ROCKING WITHOUT ANY ISSUES NO FCs.

Although I have to locate the exact culprit by enabling/disabling each one of the following ( only the more likely ones.)

Maybe the gurus here can simply tell baby there knowledge the culprit.

Just disable/ delete. setup wizard 1.0 like through titanium backup.
