Vinod Nayak 443 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1910947 [ROM] 10/23/12 Sprint Touchwiz Jelly Bean 4.1.1 Leak (L710VPBLJ7) Odex/DeOdex Screenshots Disabled Apps (These I do not use) It's been almost 6 hours, no issues yet. It's pretty damn fast and super smooth. Battery I feel is much better. Tomorrow will put the battery to a full test. After installing you need to flash the modem too. It's in the same link above. The new modem flashed without losing EVDO. Samsung Galaxy™SIII Tapatalk

Vinod Nayak 443 Report post Posted October 25, 2012 Battery Stats Once the battery showed 100%, I switched off the phone and started to charge again till it showed 100% again. Booted to CWM mode, under advanced I wiped the battery stats. Booted the phone at 6:15Am Exactly after an hour or so. Till this moment. That's almost 15 hours and still 11% to go. Brightness set to min. Gtalk signed out. Sync for all set to on. My disabled apps in earlier post. Have done one Rom manager nandroid And one CWM nandroid to external Sd card. I would say JB is at least 15% better. Will do a heavy load battery test tomorrow. Samsung Galaxy™SIII Tapatalk

Vinod Nayak 443 Report post Posted October 26, 2012 The easiest way to get your MSL is through Android terminal. Type "getprop ril.MSL" without the quotes. The result will be blank, do not close the terminal, Now goto dialer and type ##3282# and choose Edit, type any random number number and press enter, will give you a error. Now again run the command getprop ril.MSL and see the miracle. Samsung Galaxy™ SIII Tapatalk

mujeebrehman 78 Report post Posted October 27, 2012 Yes it is the official ota by sprint and the flashable zip file is already posted on xda. Can someone throw some light on any issues after the update. One of the issue reported multiple times is detorated battery life. Definitely smoother then ICS and battery is the same if not better. Google now is awesome and its worth upgrading just for that.
mujeebrehman 78 Report post Posted October 30, 2012 Thanks Doc! Great two of the trusted contributers for this thread (Vinod and Doc) have confirmed that there is no issues or rather no change in battery life. Personally that is what i wanted to hear however, can someone confirm if WIFI teether is working as afaik it is not working on JB. From my past experience most of the phones works best with the setup they were shipped and in most cases os upgrades have s&*&^*d them.
Arun 795 Report post Posted October 31, 2012 WiFi Tether app is not working on JellyBean 4.1.1 and there doesn't seem to be any other app available for WiFi tether.
doc_anurag 46 Report post Posted October 31, 2012 Original Jelly Bean keyboard its like the best of ICS keyboard and Swype built into one. Download the APK from here. Should work with ICS also http://www.qbking77.com/android-42-jelly-bean-keyboard-review-and-install.html
Vinod Nayak 443 Report post Posted November 2, 2012 For some reason i feel swype is more accurate than this keyboard. When it comes to fast swyping i feel swype is more better and accurate Samsung Galaxy™ SIII Tapatalk
phonegeek 588 Report post Posted November 2, 2012 I found Android one better as on this, typing as will as swiping both are super smooth. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
doc_anurag 46 Report post Posted November 2, 2012 Try the latest and greatest 4.2 version.this one has a Hindi keyboard also. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1964663 Plus remember they are all adaptive versions and they get better as we use them. sougatadc 358 Report post Posted November 3, 2012 I have been using Swype since last 2 and half years. After getting this 4.2 android keyboard I wanted to shift to it (as it combined the swype feature along with some other goodies). But using it for last few days, I find it not as accurate in predicting as Swype (I agree with P Vinod Nayak). I'm going back to Swype, my good old friend for typing
