mgdelhi 192 Report post Posted November 18, 2012 Samsung Galaxy S III (GSM I9300) Jelly Bean 4.1.1 update roll-out suspended in India Samsung India has confirmed that the Jelly Beam update for Galaxy S III is no longer rolling out in India. The update reportedly contained bugs and was creating issues for those already updated, thus Samsung has stopped the update. Company is currently looking into this and is likely to release a fixed update soon. Samsung had originally started the Android 4.1 OTA update around two weeks ago. http://androidos.in/2012/11/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-jelly-bean-update-rolled-back-in-india/
Vinod Nayak 443 Report post Posted November 18, 2012 Sorry my bad tanveer, I did not see any mention of GSM, many unregistered users also read this post, so was just trying to safeguard them. Cause if someone flashes this Rom into a CDMA phone, I can guarantee it will result into a hard brick. I did not mean to offend you. Sorry again. mgdelhi 192 Report post Posted November 21, 2012 I am also using JB on GSM S3. No Problems till date I had updated my GSM S3 to official Indian 4.1.1 through ODIN. I was facing occasion lag but it was very much usable. Today, I got an OTA update of 45.93MB. Installed it. Hope it will take care of issues. BTW, it is still on 4.1.1. Vinod Nayak 443 Report post Posted November 24, 2012 The wireless mod has a induction coil which is modified by me to make it as simpler as possible. You only require to remove back panel, place and align the coil, put back battery cover and place the phone on dock. Your stock charger connects to the dock. NFC works with this mod. The back panel will have a slight and unnoticeable bulge which can be felt but not seen. Few final adjustments are to be made, after that it will be available for trade on sell bazaar thread. admirer2000 100 Report post Posted December 7, 2012 Need a simple cover / case for S3 to protect front & corners - Pls. suggest / give a link for online purchase.
Vinod Nayak 443 Report post Posted December 7, 2012 (edited) Do not buy online if you are planning to go for a simple cover, should be available for 70rs max outside in any mobile shop. Been using since the day I got my S3, serves the purpose. For front use hard laminating screen protector for 300rs.
