hiteshkkk1 327 Report post Posted January 26, 2013 Facing strange problem with vzw s3. If there is any gsm Sim card in phone, evdo / 1x will not work.. I've to remove Sim if want to use data. But, the twist here if, this problem is city specific. Problem faced in my home town jalgaon, dhule, aurangabad. Data working flawlessly even when there is Sim in other cities i.e nasik, Nagar, pune, malegaon. is it anything related to sdca? As all cities where data not working come under Aurangabad sdca. ( i hope i am not wrong - if i am i request the Gurus to shed light ) The schematics below show the location of the 1x and evdo antennas at the bottom and battery also being there , its pretty obvious for the sprint variant to get hotter especially on 3G usage, with the screen being on . if the cell is constantly changing loaction then this will add to the heating as the phone will be changing the towers . Recently I did a 14 hours drive from my place to Bangalore and back with my GPS and navigation on, and also connected to Usb charger through out, the car was running AC through out, again no heating up.
