copperco2 24 Report post Posted February 19, 2013 Update [Feb 19, 2013]: Turns out Flipkart listing have been all wrong and both Alcatel OT 4005D and OT 4010E smartphones run on Gingerbread not Jelly Bean as reported by us earlier. Flipkart has rectified their listings now as pointed by Deepak in comments. The retailer has also stopped taking orders and has put both the phones on pre-order. We will be waiting for the official announcement before writing anything more as there is a lot of confusion right now. We apologize for the errors, clearly we can’t trust Flipkart listings so much. We will be more careful in the future. It's Perhaps The Cheapest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Dual SIM Phone in India Right Now. digitalnirvana 646 Report post Posted February 25, 2013 Galaxy S IV coming March 14th Source: Engadget It was true. And then it wasn't. Now, here at MWC in Barcelona, Samsung has finally confirmed its rumored March 14th launch event for the much-anticipated Galaxy S IV. The smartphone giant's latest flagship is set to debut in New York City, apparently by popular demand. "We introduced the Galaxy S III in London last year," Samsung Electronics' mobile division chief JK Shin told Edaily news. "This time we changed the Venue (to New York)... as we were bombarded with requests from US mobile carriers to unveil the Galaxy S IV in the country." As with any such announcement, details are sparse at best, so we'll need to wait a few more weeks before confirming specs and appearance for the Galaxy S III successor. But, as always, you're welcome to shout out your best guesses in the comments. Sent while mobile.

SUDYEcaZ 67 Report post Posted March 4, 2013 http://tech2.in.com/news/smartphones/leaked-antutu-benchmark-confirms-galaxy-s4-will-have-an-octacore-exynos-cpu/799202 Leaked Antutu benchmark confirms Galaxy S4 will have an octa-core Exynos CPUThe screenshots also reveal that the Galaxy S4 will launch with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The forthcoming flagship will also be a true ‘world’ phone, rather than having different variants for each region or carrier. This conclusion is arrived at thanks to the Exynos processor supporting GSM/WCDMA/LTE.The benchmark scores also confirm that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will have a 13-megapixel primary camera, along with a 2.1-megapixel front-facing shooter. It will be released in 16GB and 32GB configurations. There is some further speculation about a 64GB version, but that might be a stretch. However, we do know that Samsung’s flagships also feature microSD card slots to further enhance the internal memory. We can also see that the device will have a 4.99-inch, full HD screen with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. Seeing as there is no pixel allowance for on-screen buttons, we think there will be physical buttons just like the older Galaxy S phones. The onscreen buttons in the above screenshots are from the Nexus 4, which was used for the benchmark comparison.

The most interesting thing is that the device supports GSM/WCDMA/LTE networks with an Exynos processor on-board. So that means there will be only a one single variant of the device, the GT-I9500. Previously, Samsung used to release two variants of their high-end devices, for example the GT-I9300 and GT-I9305. One variant used to have GSM connectivity and the other one had LTE connectivity but this is not the case with the Galaxy S IV. The Galaxy S IV will be a world phone. http://www.sammobile.com/2013/03/03/galaxy-s-ivs-specifications-leak-confirm-exynos-octa-powervr-sgx-544mp/ my next phone is gonna be S4

It comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera that can shoot 720p videos but omits a front camera. It also does not have NFC connectivity.
