rajanmehta 4,056 Report post Posted May 23, 2013 HTC Desire 600 Dual SIM Goes Official, Quad Core CPU, Sense 5 On Board Source The HTC One leads the charge of the Sense 5 experience and now the HTC Desire 600 dual sim fills the ranks with an affordable alternative. The smartphone was introduced today and is supposed to bring many of the One's premium features at a far lower price point. The HTC Desire 600 dual sim runs Android Jelly Bean (probably 4.1) with Sense 5 on top, which includes the BlinkFeed screen that pulls updates and info from your social networking accounts and 1,400 media sources. It's powered by a Snapdragon 200 chipset, which packs four Cortex-A5 CPUs clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM and Adreno 203 GPU. There's 8GB of built-in storage and a 1,860mAh battery. The smartphone has a 4.5" Super LCD2 screen with qHD resolution, surrounded by two BoomSound speakers, just like on the One. Beats Audio is, of course, also a part of the package. The HTC Desire 600 dual sim packs an 8MP / 720p main camera and a 1.6MP front-facing camera that can be used to capture photos, which the Video Highlights feature combines into 30 second video clips. All you have to do is pick the music theme. It's not as great as Zoe, but it's in the same spirit. As the name suggests, the phone has two SIM card slots and both cards are active at the same time – you can receive a call on one of them, even if the other is already in use. The phone has 3G with HSDPA connectivity (up to 7.2Mbps down), Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, Wi-Fi b/g/n, NFC and GPS (plus GLONASS in Russia and the EU). The HTC Desire 600 will be available early next month and while it aims for global availability, it will start off with Russia, Ukraine and the Middle East. There's no info on pricing yet. rajanmehta 4,056 Report post Posted June 12, 2013 Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom With 10x Optical Zoom, 16MP CMOS Sensor Announced Source The Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom smartphone has finally been announced. The Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom boasts of features like 10x optical zoom, 16MP CMOS Sensor, OIS and Xenon flash. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and is fuelled by a 2330 mAh battery. First things first, the Galaxy S4 zoom features a Zoom Ring that can be used to access the Galaxy S4 zoom’s key features. When you’re in the middle of a phone call and you see something you absolutely have to share, a quick twist of the Zoom Ring will activate the In-Call Photo Share feature that allows you to capture and send an image directly via MMS to whoever you are talking to. In addition to that, the Zoom Ring can be used to activate the Quick Launch and Shortcut features for access to multiple camera modes including Auto, Gallery and Smart Mode. Here is a quick look at the specs of the Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom: 4.3 inch qHD sAMOLED screen with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels 3G, EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi Bluetooth 4.0 (LE) 16MP rear camera with 10x optical zoom, Sub (Front) 1.9MP camera GPS with A-GPS for Google Maps 8GB internal memory + microSD slot up to 64GB The 10x optical zoom and 16MP BSI CMOS sensor lets you capture images from far away or up close and personal in all light conditions. Furthermore, Samsung claims that the built-in Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) helps keep the camera perfectly still even when you’re not, reducing blur and stabilising the image while zoomed in for good quality photos and video. The Photo Suggest feature connects users to huge libraries of images taken by fellow photographers, to help them find and compose their best shots anywhere in the world. Photo Suggest can even direct users to the ideal nearby location, which will give them the vantage point needed for that perfect photo. It also features the company's popular Smart Mode, owing to which users can choose from a series of pre-set modes and the camera will automatically adjust for good shots. Then there is the Drama Shot feature that Samsung says can be used to merge continuous shots of moving objects into a single composed image, or Action Freeze to instantly capture high-speed action. If you aren’t sure which Smart Mode to select, the Smart Mode Suggest feature can assess the scene for you and provide a short list of the best options for your consideration based on surrounding factors such as light levels, focal length or face detection. “The Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom represents yet another step forward in the way Samsung is working to enhance the lives of our customers around the world,” said JK Shin, President and CEO, Head of IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics. “As communication continues to become increasingly visual in nature, people wish to capture and share their moments in the highest quality possible, but often do not have the space or inclination to carry a dedicated camera for this purpose. The Galaxy S4 zoom changes this forever, combining the industry leading functionality and connectivity of the Galaxy S4 with the high quality photographic experience you’d expect from a compact camera. The result is truly the best of both worlds, without compromise.” The Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2. It includes Touchwiz as on the recently announced Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone, which can help you fully customise various aspects of your device, including the lock screen and notification bar. Using the Story Album feature on the smartphone, those who’ve just returned from a long trip can arrange all of their images and videos into one timeline to share with friends and loved ones. They can also edit images and even order prints directly from the device through a partnership with blurb. For those who’d rather transfer their images to their laptop or tablet for safe keeping, there is Samsung Link. Alternatively, on the Galaxy S4 zoom, you also have the option to sync all of your data in your own personal cloud through HomeSync, providing the ultimate peace of mind and ensuring your images and videos are waiting for you whenever you need them. The Galaxy S4 zoom features the new Samsung Hub that can be accessed to get all of the latest music, videos, books and games, and Group Play that lets users connect directly with their Samsung devices so they can all listen and play together, without the need for a Wi-Fi or cellular signal.

KanagaDeepan 1,084 Report post Posted June 22, 2013 Am I missing something??? I didn't see any post about the announcement of HTC Butterfly S, the FIRST HTC high end phone of 2013 worth buying (with 3200mAh Li-Po battery and microSD slot) ======================================= HTC Butterfly S is official, packs HTC One's UltraPixel camera19 June, 2013 HTC has just made the Butterfly S official and it's a significant bump over the first Butterfly. The smartphone is powered by a 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 - the same as the one in the Samsung Galaxy S4 - and has 2GB of RAM. It's built around the same 5" display boasting full HD resolution and a pixel density of 440ppi. Internal storage is 16GB, and as is usually the case, HTC has teamed up with Dropbox to provide 25GB of free cloud storage for 2 years. MicroSD card support is available, too. At the back of the Butterfly S, there's the same UltraPixel camera as the HTC One. It packs a 1/3" BSI sensor size with a 2.0 micron pixel size and wide F/2.0 aperture. Since the smartphone is running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with the latest Sense UI 5 skin on top, there's HTC Zoe with HTC Share and Video highlights. HTC Butterfly S official photos Not much has changed in terms of visuals, and the Butterfly S looks more or less the same as its predecessor, safe for its thickness and different color variations - red, white, gray - and some details here and there. The most prominent of which is the metal ring surrounding the camera glass at the back. Measuring 144.5 x 70.5 x 10.6mm, the Butterfly S weighs 160 grams and is significantly thicker than before. That's because under the hood, there's a 3200mAh battery, a lot bigger than the original Butterfly's 2020mAh unit. Connectivity options are the usual for a high-end offering and include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, DLNA, NFC, GPS. The HTC Butterfly S is expected to debut in Taiwan for NT $22,900 (US $766) in July. The company's plans for a wider release at this point are still unclear. ====================================== SOURCE: HERE

KanagaDeepan 1,084 Report post Posted June 22, 2013 ^^^^^^ Apart from that, they are not at all serious about Indian market... They launch models with outdated OS + specs at ridiculously high prices... Eg 1: YESTERDAY they launched Desire XC with DualSIM C+G, 4" 480p display, 1GHz DualCore, 1650mAh battery, 4GB memory, 0.75GB RAM, 5MPx camera, NO FRONT CAM, ICS for Rs16249/- Eg 2: On June5 they launched Desire XDS almost the same as above with G+G setup for Rs16089/- -------------------------------- I agree the build quality and materials used are better, design of latest models are good... But hey if your phone is going to have non-removable battery better give 3000+ mAh battery like Moto and if you are not going to give me SD slot, then keep the price low like Nexus4... Till this BF-S, they have launched higher end phones with no expandable memory... They put tiny and non-removable batteries for the sake of being slim... Then they were wondering why they were going down... But at least for their own good, they are now awake from their KUMBHA-KARNAN sleep....
