rajanmehta 4,056 Report post Posted August 26, 2014 Another unbelievable pricing from Xiaomi!!! Xiaomi Redmi 1S Launched at Rs. 5,999; Mi 3-Like Flipkart Flash Sales to Continue Source Official Product Page Link >> http://www.mi.com/in/redmi1s/#functions Xiaomi has launched the budget Redmi 1S smartphone in India, priced at Rs. 5,999. Notably, the smartphone was first announced for India at Rs. 6,999. The smartphone will be available via its first flash sale on September 2, and customers can register for it on Flipkart after 6pm IST on Tuesday. The dual-SIM (Micro-SIM) Xiaomi Redmi 1S with dual standby was first announced for China in May, and features a 4.7-inch 720x1280 pixel IPS-LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection and a pixel density of roughly 312ppi. It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with MIUI v5 skinned on top. The company has promised an upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI v6 towards the end of the year. Xiaomi's Redmi 1S is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC (MSM8228), coupled with Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of built-in storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The Redmi 1S also features an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with flash, alongside a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera. The Redmi 1S comes with 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Direct and hotspot functionality, Micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.0, FM radio, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB OTG connectivity options. It is powered by a 2000mAh battery, weighs 158 grams, and has dimensions of 137x69x9.9mm. The company has also announced accessories for the Redmi 1S, with screen protectors (matte and clear) priced at Rs. 179, a flip cover at Rs. 559, back cover in colours at Rs. 459, and a silica gel cover at Rs. 359. Considering the phone's price tag, it is likely there will be an enthusiastic response to Redmi 1S, and it will be interesting to see if the smartphone will be plagued the kind of stock shortages that have become synonymous with the Xiaomi Mi 3 (Review | Pictures) in India.

sougatadc 358 Report post Posted August 28, 2014 For Redmi 1S, the important points to be noted are: 1. There will be 40,000 in the stock for the first bout. 2. Already more than 1lakh buyers are vying for it, registered on flipkart. More to go. 3. Flipkart has announced that they will be giving previlege to the first 2000 'Flipkart First' subscribers to own it. It will be added to their cart one day ahead of the normal sale begining on 2nd Sep at 2 pm. The chosen 'Flipkart First' subscribers will just need to pay for it. 4. It was quite attractive at Rs. 6999. And now at reduced price of Rs. 5999, it surely will be a crowd-puller with features like dual SIM, 8mp cam, expandable memory upto 64GB, Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and a nice display.

It seems more like a major scandal. I even saw on YouTube same case in mi3 sale. I have a valid flip kart first subscription. I had pre registered for today's sale of redmi starting at 2 pm. After staring at countdown for last six minutes I clicked the buy now button the moment it appeared. Here are the results. It went out of stock in 5 seconds. digitalnirvana 646 Report post Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) Guys saying it is a gimmick, yes it is. But also true that people are buying in bulk using robots - http://compare.buyhatke.com/promo_pages/xiaomi/?utm_source=xiaomi_nav is an example. Many of these are resellers who are making good profits and making it impossible for normal users to buy one Edited September 9, 2014 by digitalnirvana

::: VA ::: 531 Report post Posted September 10, 2014 (edited) Anyways guys let me do the obvious. Apple launched yesterday at an event in Cupertino, two new iPhones. IPhone 6 & iPhone 6 plus. Essentially the only two difference in both. Ip6 is 4.7" 720p with digital image stabilization in camera. Ip6+ has 5.5" 1080p display with optical image stabilization. Apple has introduced apple pay with both phones enabling you to make instant payments through your phones built in nfc with a secure chip. Supported in some forthcoming apps and many retail stores in USA. I also noted in specs that Hindi has been added as the system language on these phones. Both new phones have a barometer built in giving you accurate temperature of your surrounding and tracking elevation change for weather & fitness apps. Going on sale for us from October 17 th. P.S . for those who can afford there will be 128gb model available too for both phones . Edited September 10, 2014 by ::: VA :::
