In all case, it will be extended as only 2 products are approved. In the long run I see this is done to curb the import of the devices which are cheaper abroad.

Amazon after entering into Indian market first as 'Junglee.com' & has started it's Indian marketplace directly under it's own name 'Amazon.in' few days back. It has started Amazon.in only with books but now Amazon.in has started selling mobiles/smart phones and media players(mp3 players, etc.,) along with it's own tablets of Kindle line. Amazon.in is also looking to expand it's online market further in the near future by offering products in various other products including computers, laptops and so on. It is to be seen how much Amazon.in can compete and effect the businesses(if at all they do) of present players like flipkart.

Rs 2,500 Crore Seized From Four Trucks in Mumbai

Mumbai: The Income Tax Department and National Investigation Agency personnel on Monday night seized cash worth Rs 2,500 crore, and gold and diamond jewellery from four trucks here and detained 47 people.

It is being billed as the biggest operation of its kind.

The trucks were apprehended from outside Mumbai Central railway station, stumping the investigators who suspect a terror angle, a top IT official, requesting anonymity said on Tuesday.

According to sources, each truck with around 15 people on board, was carrying around 35 bags, allegedly stuffed with cash and valuables.

At least 47 people, including personal couriers, locally known as 'angadiyas', were detained and 20 were let off after initial questioning by the two agencies early Tuesday morning.

Income Tax director general Swatantra Kumar told mediapersons on Tuesday morning that the consignment, intercepted near the busy Mumbai Central terminus around 9.30 pm on Monday, was bound from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and other destinations by the Gujarat Mail train.

I-T officials said that so far, 50 bags containing cash have been scrutinised and they are looking into the contents of the remaining.

Prima facie the cash appears to be part of hawala transaction, to be carried to Gujarat from Mumbai, they said.

In an interesting twist in the case, it has been revealed that an Inspector stationed at South Mumbai's VP Road and his colleagues had escorted the trucks to station.

The joint operation by more than 100 officers was carried out when the four trucks reached outside the Mumbai Central station to unload the suitcases.

Those detained with around 150 suitcases of cash are still being grilled.

The operation was carried out following a tip-off received by the NIA at least a week ago.

It roped in the I-T Department for help as a huge amount of cash was involved.

Not ruling out a terror funding angle, at least a dozen of those detained are being questioned separately by the NIA.

The IT officials are still counting the cash at their head office in Scindia House in Ballard Estate in south Mumbai, which houses many other central government offices.

The true value of the consignment is expected to be known only within another day or so, an official said.

Mumbai's famous and trusted tribe of 'angadiyas', functioning since centuries, are known to transport huge amounts of cash and valuables like diamond or gold items, daily by trains from Mumbai to Gujarat and to parts of the country.

Apple launches probe after 23-year-old Chinese woman dies while using iPhone 5

23-year-old woman from China's western Xinjiang region and a flight attendant with China Southern Airlines, was electrocuted when she took a call on the charging mobile telephone,

investigating an accident in which a Chinese woman was killed by an electric shock when answering a call on her iPhone 5 while it was charging, the U.S. technology company said on Monday.

Last Thursday, Ma Ailun, a 23-year-old woman from China's western Xinjiang region and a flight attendant with China Southern Airlines, was electrocuted when she took a call on the charging mobile telephone, the official Xinhua news agency quoted police as saying on Sunday.

"We are deeply saddened to learn of this tragic incident and offer our condolences to the Ma family. We will fully investigate and cooperate with authorities in this matter," Apple said in an e-mail.

Apple declined to comment on details, such as whether this was an isolated case. Ma's sister tweeted on Sina's microblog saying that Ma collapsed and died after using her charging iPhone 5 and urged users to be careful, a message that went viral on the site.

In April, Apple apologised to Chinese consumers and altered iPhone warranty policies in its second-biggest market after its after-sales service suffered more more than two weeks of condemnation by the state-run media.

Google said ready to unveil smartphone, tablet and new Android version

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., July 18 (UPI) -- Google may be ready to unveil a new high-end tablet, a new version of Android and possibly the Moto X smartphone in San Francisco, tech watchers say.

An event announced for July 24 will be streamed live over YouTube, hosted by Sundar Pichai, senior vice president of Android, Chrome and Apps at Google, the Silicone Valley Business Journal reported Thursday.

Google has consistently released updated versions of the Android operating system every three to four months, and with 4.2.2 Jelly Bean launching back in February, an unveiling of 4.3 is a strong possibility.

In the tablet arena, photos and a specification sheet leaked this are said to be of the forthcoming Nexus 7, rumored to be made by ASUS and featuring a 7-inch screen with front and back camera, and thought to be aiming at a $250 price point.

And the rumor mill has been busy with talk of Google's upcoming premium, made-in-America Moto X smartphone.

Google has been spending massive amounts of marketing and advertising money to hype the Moto X, suggesting it may well join other offerings on-stage at the July 24 event.

OTG cable is still a better option taking into consideration the price factor of this iBall product.

OTG also gives the freedom of using any pendrive and will prevent accidental damage of the micro USB port of phone as this rigid protrusion sticks out of the phone and an accidental shear on it can damage the port.
