ruiner21 43 Report post Posted June 29, 2013 on clicking the adb package... samsung drivers download starts... Which the ADB folder?? Is it the samsung adb interface drivers one??
Maulik.Parekh 34 Report post Posted June 29, 2013 @skssha .. putting LK5 modem and enabling 1x/hdr as per kshah will definitely work .. but the process needs to be redone every reboot .. @parin thanks for starting a separate thread ... I think we can have data working on MD4 by: 1. Taking backup of working NV from LG1 to MD1 2. Update or flash MD4 3. Restore backup of NV on MD4 MD4 rather did not impress me much .. so i dont think it is worth experimenting .. so i am gonna be happy now with what i have :-) ... I have freezed the stock update software now :-) :-)

bigbyte 24 Report post Posted June 29, 2013 The posted links are for MB1 update. Need a little clarity here since in first post it is said that after odin the phone will be on ICS. I have following queries: 1. While on MD4, do I need to downgrade to any version and then use nvrestore on adb or I can do nvrestore on MD4? I guess Maulik did the nvresotre while he was not on MD4. 2. After nvrestore, when the phone is stuck at S3 logo, can we directly upgrade to MB! instead of flashing a ICS tar and later upgrading to MB1 ? Please let me know, after some inputs from genius's I'll start experimenting on my phone and post results here.
Maulik.Parekh 34 Report post Posted June 29, 2013 1. Yes Indeed i did nvrestore when i was on LG1, but i think it can be anywhere but doubt if done on MD4. So i would suggest to downgrade (MD1 or below) and do it. 2. After NVRestore you should be able to directly flash MB1.
ashishsethi 55 Report post Posted July 1, 2013 Big Thanks to Parin for the detailed working on how to get Data working on USC S3. If you follow the instructions to a T, you should not have any problems. I was on the latest Samsung update when I lost access to mobile data and I installed the MB1 firmware instead of downgrading to ICS first and it worked like a charm. No more updates for me because I got my data working again after 2 weeks. Will try any updates only after the gurus give their go ahead. Thanks to all involved in working out the solution. Cheers!!
