::Hitesh:: 1,763 Report post Posted July 18, 2013 Use DFS or CW, and try to get SPC [EFS method] If you get SPC, it will be easy to using this one on reliance. Also there are few posts on other forums to unlock and use it as RUIM, But I havent tested it , so cannt say it will work or not. thanks

::Hitesh:: 1,763 Report post Posted July 20, 2013 ^^^ Firmware (software inside the modem) is specially made for MTS, and may not work for other operators. you need to flash generic firmware of this model and do the unlocking process.
dr.faramroze 703 Report post Posted July 21, 2013 Get it unlocked by DC-Unlockr (a few minutes process) OR update the firmware using the link below. Will not require any other software or hidden process. Also attached in second link is the universal dashboard for all SIMs. http://www.mediafire.com/?bdu1q55k89akvvl http://www.mediafire.com/?ta6xcytthe7bih1 Sent from my N5100 Samsung Galaxy Note 8
ev1lb0ygen1us 27 Report post Posted July 22, 2013 Download the firmware posted in the above comment. It will probably ask for a flash code for firmware upgrading. Use this tool to find the flash code. Once its done, your modem SPC will be reset to 000000. Now use CDMA WS or any other tools to change it to RUIM only. Done.

aalok 442 Report post Posted July 22, 2013 ^ Sir, "RUIM, if available" works on those datacards which doesn't require firmware flashing, just to use default connection, based on "nv". tapped from my phone..

::Hitesh:: 1,763 Report post Posted August 2, 2013 ^^^ For one modem, it is not worth buying full software. Find some one locally who have DC-Unlocker, pay 100-200 to him and get it unlcoked. even unlocking stores wont charge you more than 200. I know place in mumbai they charge only 50rs for sim unlock for this kind of card or phones........

h3llboy009 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2014 Thank you Pratul for replying. I am not sure if its Rev b modem. Please tell me how to figure out if it's a rev b and what difference does it make ?
pratul_09 3 Report post Posted July 20, 2014 Thank you Pratul for replying. I am not sure if its Rev b modem. Please tell me how to figure out if it's a rev b and what difference does it make ? AFAIK this is not rev b and has 3.1 mbps speed (rev a). This has Qualcomm MDM 6085-1 cpu same as earlier ac2746 and ac2766. you can use the older trick to flash chinanet flash files but I'm not sure if this will work. The only problem is its spc is not 000000 as in the earlier mts modems where you could covert Non RUIM to RUIM and NV both. You may brick the device in this process, better wait for a proper solution

I have another MTS data card as well "AnyData ADU-555c" which I have tried to unlock with CDMA Workshop and I was able to unlock it. However, it does not have SIM card slot. If I can get the SIM card slot installed by any local vendor then is it possible to use it with other operators ? As i do not know much about flashing and updating firmware. I will appreciate any help you can provide me regarding this data card.

h3llboy009 0 Report post Posted July 21, 2014 Yes Saiesh, actual modem comes with a space to install a SIM tray but no sim slot. May be the person who sold you this may have installed it before selling. I am not sure about this. I will look forward to a resolution for this from all the experienced members on this forum. So i can make use of this modem to access the internet with other operators. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
