Vinod ji I'm talking about build.prop edits that every one is using, which you have also mentioned various threads in this forum, that is changing ro.build,target_operator value to spr from SPR. Vinod Nayak 443 Report post Posted February 17, 2014 Yes you will receive OTA and can update also. No the phone won't be locked after OTA Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk You can either use GSM or CDMA NV, both data works. RUIM data does not work. But I'm almost there, so by today evening I can confirm data on RUIM Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
heyraj 1 Report post Posted February 17, 2014 thanks sir for reply.....CDMA NV means? bcz i want to use g2 for ruim sim like tata and mts? or for gsm sim.
astrokidvaibhav 37 Report post Posted February 17, 2014 thanks sir for reply.....CDMA NV means? bcz i want to use g2 for ruim sim like tata and mts? or for gsm sim. CDMA NV means using the phone on CDMA Network without sim.. Wherein we program the phone for Reliance and get its MEID registered in Reliance.. If you want to use LG G2 for RUIM just change mode in DFS to RUIM only and you are good to go..

Has this been tested via ZV8 unlock -> ZVA ? Please remember that OTA writes to the system partition - so for any major update like kitkat - the system partition will be re-written, which may or may not cause the changes you have made to be overwritten. OTAs are being pushed without user Yes/No option (search XDA and you will find the info). ZVA and above are found to be loki killers - so it would be safer to stay on a custom rom, know what the update is and that it is not going to kill anything and then take the update. Vinod Nayak 443 Report post Posted February 18, 2014 If the phone is used on RUIM mode out of the box, data works. Even after the GSM Unlock the data on RUIM will work. Data will not work only if we flash NV, if NV is flashed data on RUIM will stop working and it will start to work on NV mode. If the dealers provide copy of the EFS in the phone, it would simply be great because the phone will be able to get data on all modes. Like phonegeek mentioned in earlier posts that the EFS can not be restored to its stock state if modified. OP is updated with how to backup EFS. solarisx21 17 Report post Posted February 18, 2014 ^ When you root the phone using ioRoot method - two new files modemst1.img and modemst2.img are created on your sd card - these are your efs files.
ev1lb0ygen1us 27 Report post Posted February 18, 2014 I wonder why data stops working on RUIM, once NV is flashed? Whats the catch here which I'm missing? RUIM mode uses every settings direct from RUIM/OMH right? Being a RCDMA freak, I would love to have 2xRCDMA with data working in one phone. I'm also looking forward to get permanent GSM unlock done once my G2 arrives. It should increase its resale value
Vinod Nayak 443 Report post Posted February 18, 2014 If Rev-b is supported then RUIM will work no matter what you flash. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
