Please follow this topic only for the full unlock. this is not a temp unlock like its mentioned in other thread. please read everything before trying anything. if you dont know how to please ask someone who knows. G2 is a fantastic piece of equipment. i will be disappointed if someone bricks it for silly reason. i suggest to learn more about flashing and everything else related to CDMA hacks for phones. gauravjc 47 Report post Posted February 22, 2014 unfortunately have bricked the device attempting to gsm unlock.... my imei / meid is change and its not lattaching to any network ... nor gsm nor cdma ... even cdma Nv only mode not working .... restored efs backup created thru ioroot but doesnt work ... pls help ... Have added the property folder by using root explorer in the phone. apnconf.xml is read only so rootexplorer not allowing and TC does not give option to paste. Am i doing something wrong. Now dont hv any gsm sim to test One thing though the apn settings tab has disappeared from settings, remembered seeing it earlier. Hi Raju / Gauravjc, Am too stuck on the same issue, but my scenario is a bit different, Can you help : 1) Phone goes in download mode 2) Phone is allowing me to install Stock Rom 3) After installation the first time when the phone boots , touch works, can see the IMEI null baseband null, PC detects the phone too 4) Exactly after 2 mins the phone restarts after which nothing works, touch stops responding and phone starts restarting. 5) root is not possible due to no touch 6) TWRP not possibe too. 7) DAIG mode not possible at this stage (i feel so) Seems to be an issue with EFS partition where it has been formatted. the sad part is that i had not taken the backup of efs through EFS tool, but through TWRP , i had taken and stored in my PC while it was working.
