rishiburman 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2005 I have a LG 2030 . I am trying to connect to the internet using the phone to my laptop . I have purchased a LG2030 USB data cable . I install the R connect LG2030 serial to USB driver and then restart the computer. When i connect the cable to my USB port , it does not prompt for the new hardware wizard. It just shows that the USB device is not recognised .When i try updating the driver manually it says it cannot find the driver ( I downloaded the driver from the reliance web site) . I tried to install the same on someone else's laptop ., still the same error . Just says "USB device not recognised ". Do i need to have a serial port ? is it mandatory . Is some special software required to be preinstalled before I install this LG 2030 driver . I have Windows XP professsional . Please help .
Arun 795 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 This can happen if the connector in the data cable is corrupt or if the USB port in the computer is damaged.
