if you are located in India, simply buy a copy of voice & data magazine.

its Rs 50 (< 1 euro) and has all the stats about the mobile industury you'll ever need

if abroad, goto:

Anyway, LG and Samsung are CDMA vendors leaders, right?

do you have any idea about 2004 Market Share?

Many Thanks

Thanks, I subscribed through Internet and got tons of informations,

I have another question, maybe 1 of you could help me.

Do you have any idea of the percentage of WLL users among CDMA users now in India?

As far as I understand, most of CDMA users were WLL users before UASL (Unified Access Service regime) in late 2003. But now that CDMA offer full mobility services, the share of WLL CDMA users should have decreased significantly.

any idea? Thx

BSNL provides WLL now in India as Tarang

You can get the info here http://www.bsnl.co.in/service/wll.htm

MTNL also provides WLL service as Garuda

http://www.mtnl.net.in/index.htm

The number of users who uses these service is quite low.

Infact I am yet to see a person using their phone/services

If you can get the number of users who are using BSNL/MTNL WLL from voice and data then you can get the percentage.

I am sure the percentage will be very very low!!!

Otherwise both BSNL/MTNL are quite popular with GSM and LandLines section!!!

I got the following information (which is from May 2004  )

Reliance Infocomm (32.7% of CDMA users are WLL users)

Tata (35.7% of CDMA users are WLL users)

BSNL (100% of CDMA users are WLL users)

MTNL (38.5% of CDMA users are WLL users)

Shyam (100% of CDMA users are WLL users)

HFCL (100% of CDMA users are WLL users)

But I believe now, the share of WLL users for Tata and Reliance has decreased

For RIM and TATA they might be the Landline Nos. !! FWP (Fixed Wireless Phone). Its a local WLL Fixed Phone. But a wireless one. So it might be treated as WLL !! Maybe somebody would put more light on this!

Well RIM RIP still WLL only, diffrence is now they allowed to provide advance serives on wll network such as roaming and sms and so on.

Well i use to roam with FWP through out tamil nadu in 2004, and it was working very much fine.
