godfather_hari 1 Report post Posted December 15, 2014 dear all, i am from chennai and recently portin to tata cdma. my porting is successful. however i could not catch signal in my mobile. the store person told me to thousand light area where i will catch signal and i need to dial *228. i went to that area and activated my number and started making calls. here my problem starts. my mobile could not catch signal once i cross the area. i roamed across chennai where my mobile fails to catch signal. the tatadocomo person also not able to resolve the issue. pl help me in this. i tried factory reset and power reset. however nothing i could change. i tried to convert to gsm of tata but they told me to wait 3 months. regards, Hari Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
KanagaDeepan 1,084 Report post Posted December 15, 2014 ^^^^^ Its a known thing that Tata switches off CDMA towers now and then to reduce rent.. I had bad experience reg Tata's CDMA coverage even inside Chennai Airport at times and thats the reason I ported out from them long ago...
