ACS 130 Report post Posted April 2, 2015 Even if they choose to remain free, there has to be a way to commercialize India operations in the near future. If not continuous on-screen irritating ads, at least a banner when you say 'quit'. Again, how close is competition to WhatsApp in terms of market share in India? The only app that's advertised well is the Bharti-group developed Hike app.
inception 75 Report post Posted April 10, 2015 Whatsapp is free on Aircel and Rcom. Airtel has Hike Reliance Jio has its own Chat app. Even MTS can offer Telegram, which is itself free. . In the line LINE is there along with may others. Competition is high, so Whatsapp remains free in India.
