1) Can you please confirm it is 3G EVDO / CDMA (3G1x) High Speed Data and not 2G data?

2) Can you please elaborate on Steps 2 and 3. What does "Mod The Sim" mean? Can you provide details for "Put APN"? What were the settings and what did you modify to make it work?

Verizon Moto E on 5.0.2 worked out of the box. But 5.1.x never worked (as reported in the forum) till Kapil claimed otherwise.

Kapil, do you know what change between 5.0.2 and 5.1.x that required additional SIM modifications?

I hope folks who got their devices working on 5.1 or 5.0.2 share their info. It will help the community at large.

I have Moto E XT1526 and have same issue as Moto E Xt1528. Above setting of Mod of SIM steps are needed to change in our phone as see whether CDMA get data working or not. Can Kapil post the steps to mod the sim ?

I put the phone bptools

connected to pc

enabled usb debugging on phone

loaded moto diagnostic drivers in device manager for the last XT item of unknown devices.

OPEND the DFS and selected the port, given sent spc gone to programming, ip section changed simple ip to pref mobile ip

total profiles one and active profile one.

reset the phone and restarted the phone.

entered apn manually and saved

that's all, phone works with RGE sim data also

APN parameters name = any apn=net username=net password=net mcc is 404 and mNc is 00

ha ha. if click power and vol - at one time (when the phone is in off position) it will boot in different screen you have to go to BP Tools with the help of vol + or -.

Hello This method is not working for me.

After i change active profile to one. I clicked reset buttion in DFS and restarted the phone.

however I do not get any option to add APN, it says APN is not available for this user.

Please suggest what is missing here?

in xt1526, i tested but no success on jio 1800, 2300, idea 1800 LTE no Luck , Not Working--Shows Searching for Service.

I have tried this long back. Enabled the band 40 in DFS. But the Airtel 4G sim could not catch the 4G signal, only 2G.

Is kernel or other modification required to enable the band 40?

I have tried this long back. Enabled the band 40 in DFS. But the Airtel 4G sim could not catch the 4G signal, only 2G.

As far as I know this phone does not support any of the 4G bands available in India, only hope that I have is 700MHz band which is still not in consideration by TRAI.

I got Verizon Moto E 2nd Gen for a Friend in Vadodara. The phone is CDMA/EVDO mode and not enabled in GSM mode. Where can he get RGE series micro SIM card so that he can get voice, text and 3G data service working on this device. Please help.
