mywebid 21 Report post Posted December 6, 2015 Now that MTS has been acquired by RCOM, what's the road forward. Would the MTS voice/data plans be scrapped and RCOM plans enforced. If yes, any information when this would happen. Would the old MTS prepaid/postpaid plans would continue for extisting users or they would be replaced by RCOM's
commonman 228 Report post Posted December 6, 2015 The M&A would take some time to be legally completed. So for next 6-9 mths, there may not be any change. But as indicated in their original announcement, the MTS brand would cease to exist. So I guess all existing connections would be migrated to RCom plans. mywebid 21 Report post Posted April 30, 2016 MTS data network quality has deteriorated badly in Delhi NCR from last 15 days. MTS data connection used to be so smooth unlike RCDMA which fluctuated. It is showing signs as if it is RCDMA network instead of MTS one. Looks like they have migrated the backend/software to RCDMA.
commonman 228 Report post Posted April 30, 2016 MTS network in Kolkata has also started to fluctuate. Most of the times it is working as if on Rev.A
KanagaDeepan 1,084 Report post Posted May 1, 2016 Reason being, earlier MTS network was used just by MTS data card customers. Now it has to bear the extra burden of Rcom data card customers also. Hence the degradation in network of MTS data network. sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk

inception 75 Report post Posted May 3, 2016 Yes, RCOM is shifted most of the traffic to MTS network as they are testing LTE on their own 850 Mhz.
