GSM coverage is very very poor... so they are not upgrading... putting down.. & rcom is stopped its all type of service in some village in our district... Telcos in India are referring both 800MHz and 850MHz interchangeably, but in reality it's just band 5 [850MHz]. Normal 800MHz is band 20 which is mainly used in rural areas of Europe or ITU regions where band 5 is not used. Band 5 overlaps EGSM 900, band 5 is sub band of band 26, etc... inception 75 Report post Posted June 18, 2016 On my new Reliance 4G SIM, data connection is not established on mobile (RN3 and Gionee D1). I checked with my dongle - network connected by dialing *99# but no data transfer occurs. National roaming enabled on SIM TOOLKIT and I checked with both APN - rcomnet and smartnet. All are in vain. Rcom shows only 2g network handset rn3 circle chennai. What does it supposed to mean handset issue or no 4g networks in my area ?
