Mahidhar 3 Report post Posted March 12, 2004 if 2003 has the compatibility mode like xp has, u could probably give it a shot by installing it in the win98 mode ... right click on the setup file after copying it to HDD and select properties ... under compatibility, select windows 98 ... try running it (i'm assuming 2003 has this mode ) ... gdi123 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2004 Yep, Windows .NET 2003 Server does have program Compatibility Wizard (Start >> All Programs >> Accessories). Choose Windows XP compatibility mode, as this is closer to Win2003 than win98

karpar 1 Report post Posted July 7, 2004 i had that problem too. i followed a very "simple" way. i reverted back to xp. the drivers are not supported by win 2003.
chandramauli 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2004 R-Connect Work on Windows Server 2003, I had the same problem, but later by doing some RnD it worked .... you will have to right click the r-connect icon and select 'compatibility' then slect 'run the program as' (windows 2000 or winXP) it works
karpar 1 Report post Posted August 17, 2004 That's cool Chandramauli...I didn't do the same because I loved Win XP and was looking for a reason to revert back to XP! Still, just as you said, it would have taken a bit of RnD to find out... Though we do know about the compatibility wizard it's not at the back of our heads all the time! vairagya 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2004 I guess this thing was discussed sometime baq.. As Chandramauli said its all there in that Compatibility option 13174[/snapback] Ashok, I recently upgraded from Win98 to WinXP2003. Have used the RIM only for the mobile internet access all along and been using RConnect option without any hassles on the older OS. Now when I tried to install the drivers for my handset (LGRD2030) the RConnect Instl Wiz refuses to go beyond screen 2 (connecting your phone to your computer where the hardware wizard is supposed to get launched.) THe h/w wiz does not pop up. On manually invoking the wizard here on, nothing moves still. What am I missing? Could you please guide to the precise solution - too scared to go thru all the forums here to look for that. Regs Vairagya
