Writing to newspapers is also an effective manner to create that horror that these companies really require sometimes! Post email ids of Newspapers u'll know and also that of DOT and TRAI so that they can all be bombarded with our emails.

I am sure if you send mail to Trai or DOT it will work. Last month I have send one mail to them because of some problem by MTNL Trump in Delhi and it works.

Best of luck.

while mailing each newspaper, mention links to this thread so that they understand that many here are already discussion abt this issue! The effect will easily multiply with only a few emails to the Newspapers.

Any more email addresses?

TRAI has announced that Chennai+TN, Mumbai+Maharashtra as single circles on May 25th and all of the providers have obliged and changed their plans. So no roaming charges nor incoming on roaming within the whole circle(whole or TN or whole of Maharashtra). But still reliance remain quiet. They are still earning in roaming in TN or MH and as usual CC people keep their mouth shut.

Will these people never change?

I guess the revision of tariff could be only for the Metro-state merger policy.

the screw up is the 149 voucher. When you recharge with this voucher you get only the default RIM rates and not of the last recharge voucher.

The CC guys have liedto us regarding this. Please anybody with the unlimited recharge talktime can confirm are they free? Morever SMS charges remain unchanged.

Regards,

Mitul

They have advertised in 'The Hindu' newspaper (TN and Chennai editions) today that the calls between the two will be local calls and 220/440 recharge vouchers can call for free unlimited.

Here is the ad-clip from TOI-Mumbai.

But the ad is for RIM-Prepaid, hopefully its applicable to post-paid too.

Any news about Mumbai-Maharastra?? I had been on a tour last week, outside Mumbai but within Maharashtra, but these blastid blighters charged me for incoming as well as out going. Moreover I was charged for the sms to RIM numbers inspite of the onnet sms pack. I am a post-paid subscriber...
