BPP 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2005 This month, I started using R Connect freedom plan, when I got my bill, it showed my data usage as 1043 MB and , freedom plan was ACTIVE only for 4 days and after that they put me back to Zero Rental plan, so they charged me like this Free usage allowed for 4 days 133 MB ( as per freedom plan) Rest 910 MB at 5 Rs per MB = 4550 Rs Guys be careful if u r using Freedom R connect plan, u donno what u r bill might come with such calculations. Even yesterday ( when I got this bill ) I called up CC they say, I am in R connect Freedom plan. But the Bill shows I am in R connect zero rental plan now. Only for those 4 days I was in Freedom plan. Now they hv stopped my outgoing calls.
Arun 795 Report post Posted June 23, 2005 Just file a complaint with them and they will refund it in the next bill, in such cases.
anujit 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2005 I have applied for the freedom plan in the middle of my billing cycle. Didn't face any of these problems. The rate of Rs. 650 was apportioned over the actual time that I availed it for that month. Also I got a IVRS & SMS confirming this!
SexyGurl 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2005 I don't why they don't start a data-based R-connect plan for prepaid They should something like Rs. 200/- (from talktime balance) for 100 MB per month. Many people are afraid of picking up postpaid R-connect, because things like BPP happen. Prepaid is the only way to put an upper limit on potential loss !! -- and Reliance also benefits: gets payment in advance, no question of defaults, no cost incurred in mailing bills, money collection through retail shops is cheaper than thru dedicated bill collection centers. The Zero rental plan s*cks. Even at 50 paise per min., it's too costly for low-cost users ... who don't want to download software, images, movies bla. bla. Just for checking emails (mostly text emails), and being online for a long time on yahoo messenger. Hardly any data usage. But Zero rental plan s*cks for such a user profile (I think is such user profile is quite common ... esp. people who are just able to buy a PC (maybe second hand, or a low-end PC -- under 15,000) .... and now don't expect them to pay 715 (650+ service tax) per month for just using Yahoo Messenger ??? They have already spent 15K, which is a huge investment for them. On the usage side, they don't need Rs. 715/- worth of downloads (= 1GB) !!! .. Just want to keep in touch with relatives, in India or overseas using Yahoo messenger. That's All. There should a low-cost, unlimited time, limited data PREPAID plan for them. BPP 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2005 Hv filled a complaint 3 days back. No reaction as yet, except cutting my out going calls. Let see what happens. With my FWP aslo they billed for R connect WITHOUT my using it. But 2 months later they refunded it. One more thing I noticed is, in 1 GB in freedom plan include both upload and download. in BSNL dataone it is only download I believe. I wounder, if they hv billing problems why they always over charge. I have always been overcharge, but never undercharged. Has any one ever in this FORUM been under billed? AirCom 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2005 Wherever a data limit is mentioned it always means upload+download which includes BSNL Dataone too.
Arun 795 Report post Posted June 26, 2005 Data based plans for prepaid is not feasible due to system constraints, as mentioned by a Reliance official. They will be introducing R-Connect vouchers for prepaid with reduced prices (per minute) soon.
