Problem In Lg Rd 2030

I have a problem in my LG RD 2030. It has speed dial feature. When anybody press 9 for a while, it automatically dial the police control room number i.e. 100. I want to change the number, but found no way to change the number. Please help me to change the number from this particular position. i think this is company default.

There is no option in handset to change it!

But there is a trick... (Don't know whether now it works or not? cauz now I don't hv RD 2030).

Open R-World and goto RIM Directory menu and search for some number or name, and when found ne number save it and while saving it select 9th location.

In this way this emergency number will be overwritten.

After it u can change this number with ur desired number ne time...

The menu name may differ now! cauz I hv no RIM phone only FWP and there is no R-World in it.

another way can be thro connecting the fone thro cable to comp, and using QPST to change the emergency numbers

Currently RIM DIR is not working. Its ok. I will try it later.

You can change the number from Security Settings but you cannot change the allotted entry (e.g. 9) from the phone.

You are right we can change the 9th position number to a new number by the help of RIM DIR.

But it did not solved my problem. Because it replace the 9th position in the phone book. But when we use the speed dial 9 (i.e. press 9 and call key). It dials the emergency number 100. There are any way to remove it from the emergency list.

Nothing is solved! Please check the my post number 7. I want to delete the phone number 100 from the Speed dial no 9.

I did not use QPST till now. If possible, Please give me this download location.
