I think the code that Vishal gave works only for Nokia GSM

Here is what all it shows:

#92702689#

1) Shows the serial number.

2) Shows when the phone was made mm/yy

3) Shows when the the phone was purchased mm/yy

4) Shows how many times the phone has been repaired.

5) Makes you capable of transferring user data if you have the gear for it

6) Shows how many hours the phone has been on

Nokia has a non reset information under call register > call duration >life timer which is used to find usage time etc, if u select for second hand nokia sets , but as with reliance cdma handset it also includes call timer of missed calls & failed call timer in life timer.As rim does not have on screen balance viewing facility the call timers gets increased by only that also which creates problem if we go for sell out handset ,since retailer see exteriors & life timer to calculate usage & value depriciates.
