pSantosh 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 I have noticed something strange happening to my computer after using the Rconnect for a longer duration of time. The system behaves like character 'm' is continuously pressed. I have Norton Anitivirus on my machine and the files are uptodate. I use the internet the entire day in the office network and there is no problem. Even at home if I use the dialup no issues. But after using Rconnect for longer durations, I am in trouble. Help. pSantosh 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 Pls be more specific about ur problem! What problem exactly r u facing? May be its becauz of faulty keyboard! So pls be more clear... 39348[/snapback] It is not a faulty keyboard Let me explain.. My laptop is running absolutely fine and there is no hardware issue. After I use the RConnect feature for longer durations of time, my system behaves as though the character 'm' key is pressed continuously. i.e. if I am in a text editor say notepad, the character 'm' is continuously typed. After ths if I run the virus scan of the entire system, it starts behaving ok until the next time I use RConnect. I pinpoint on the RConnect features because on an given day I use the internet through many different modes i.e. broadband and dialup through a normal landline. These do not give me any problem. But RConnect does. I hope you are clear about the problem that I encounter.

Arun 795 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 Can you try creating a dial up networking connection for R-Connect and then use it, instead of Reliance's R-Connect dialer and see if there is any difference ?
TCP/IP 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 Try AVG Anti Virus or something. Use Norton for a false sense of safety.
anujit 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 I disagree TCP. Norton & Trend are the two best AVs around. Only problem is NAVs heavy footprint and slugish performance that pi$$e$ me off! Its way faster than most in terms of time-to-update search menthods, configs etc.
