Pradeep Tyagi 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2005 Hi, everybody. I am a new member to this forum. I am not a computer savvy. Recently I have bought one PL-2303 USB-Serial Adapter cable & surfing net through that for past one month or so. But one fine morning when I tried to logged on, I got an error message No. 720 (No PPT control protocol configured). Since then I have tried so many combination but all are in vein. Now It is frustrating. Can anyone help me get rid of this problem. Regards Pradeep
RajanPERT 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2005 (edited) I think your problem is Error 720: No PPP control protocol configured Try this Possible cause: You have NetBEUI selected under the PPP Network Protocol Settings, NetBEUI will be the default protocol used by PPP. Solutions: Deselect NetBEUI protocol in PPP Network Protocol Settings by following the steps below. Click on Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Dial-Up Networking. Click on More -> Edit entry and modem properties. Click the Server tab. Clear the NetBEUI checkbox. Click on OK. restart your computer. If problem not solved try to restore to a previous restore point if you are using Win 2000 or XP. Other wise try to reinstall the software, if you are using related to the cabel. I hope, your problem will be solved soon. Please give me detail. PS: I have to edit this post due to an error. Thanks and Take Care!
