Puneet 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 (edited) Tata Tele-Services gets major blow PTI[ FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 09, 2005 11:55:43 AM] NEW DELHI: In a major blow to Tata Tele- Services, telecom tribunal TDSAT Friday said the company's fixed wireless service Walky would be treated as WLL (Mobile) service and ordered it to pay a fee called access deficit charge to state-run BSNL. In its order, TDSAT said Walky should not be regarded as anything else but WLL (M). "As per licensing conditions, fixed wireless service has to be provided within the subscriber premises, wherever it is not, it has to be treated as WLL(M)," the tribunal said. With its Walky service having been classified as WLL(M), Tata Teleservices would now have to pay ADC, a fee to compensate PSU telecom companies for services offered by them in un remunerative markets. But reliance has restricted there serivce to one tower, but tht tower cna be within any vicinity. Dr.Gagan 17 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Well you can check out economictimes.indiatimes.com and blonnet.com its stated that even reliance is affected ( i think that 700 rs unlimited std will have to be taken off ) but the amount involved for reliance is less.....anyways the beauty of india is the time taken people are in jail for years together which add up to more than the legal sentence they deserve cases keep languishing in courts............well dot should have stopped walky before whwn it was launched why now..........to save bsnl or to extort money..........only god knows Soham Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
