I guess the question was left incomplete? if u mean using a proxy, 2 possiblities, if u are using one which has page caching, well u might find slightly increased speeds on pages u've visited before, and where there have been no new updates. So when a client accesses that site, it will get the site from the cache and not from the internet. This will make it appear faster for the clients. Squid is one such proxy and runs on linux.
