basant_jp 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2005 (edited) Verizon Wireless announced the new LG VX9800, a QWERTY keyboard equipped handset. The VX9800's spec sheet is pretty impressive. It offers a 1.3 megapixel camera, built-in stereo speakers, 12MB of internal RAM with a miniSD expansion card slot, and a MP3 player. The camera includes a business card read function. For the messaging system, there is also a text to speech function. Unlike the F9100 that used the same display for the keypad and keyboard, the VX9800 opens up like a communicator to reveal a larger, separate display for use with the keyboard. The large internal display is a 320x256 pixel 262k color unit. The external is a smaller 160x128 pixel 65k color unit. Specifications for the LG VX9800 Band CDMA 800/1900Mhz Data EV-DO/1xRTT Size 116mm x 50mm x 25mm (4.57" x 1.97" x 1.00") Weight 147g (5.2oz) Battery Life Up to 8.3 days standby time, Up to 4.16 hours talk time Main Display 262k color TFT, 320x256 resolution Sub-Display 64k color TFT, 160x128 resolution Camera 1.3 megapixel with flash, close-up mode Video Video capture/playback at 15fps Messaging MMS/EMS/SMS Email Yes (POP/IMAP/SMTP) Bluetooth Yes (headset, hands free, DUN) Polyphonics -72 voice stereo Memory 128MB, miniSD slot expansion Availability September 26th, 2005 (Verizon's network in US) QWERTY keyboard, MP3 player, Business card reader app, Text to speech, USB data, Airplane mode *****Removing on of the pic********** Edited October 13, 2005 by basant_jp

Jatin 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2005 Wow, what a Nice Phone!!!!!!!!! I don't know why Reliance is launching only low end models in LG. Nothing a perfact phone, this is a real needed phone. Let's hope Reliance introduce similar phone here, as they have atleast now launched Nokia 6255 (still not a perfact required phone, but something is better than nothing)
Jayanth 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2006 I am a total layman when it comes to mobile technologies and I have a question. Can this phone be "flashed" for reliance or any other CDMA service in India ? Basically is there ANY way this phone can be made to work in India ??
