Mukul 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2005 Yeah I agree with cracker, I am already paying Rs. 1800/- PM for a speed of 256KBps with AirTel telephone line which I do not need, I would not mind paying another extra Rs. 300/- to get such speed.
Shabz 8 Report post Posted October 4, 2005 But even at the cost of Rs 2016 in India you will get a download limit alongwith it and you never know when the rates will change according to the fancies of operator or TRAI
amitbt22 2 Report post Posted October 4, 2005 LIKE BSNL Giving broadband 256kbps @ 250 but limit of 0.4 gb
Mukul 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2005 Yeah Shabz You are right with such speed we get download limits too. So I prefer to have slow connection and with no limit of usage and download.
Utsav 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2005 Guys favouring Slow Connection and no d/l limits, have you ever counted the cost of running a PC for 24hrs due to slow d/l speeds instead of 4/6 hrs in high speed?

Utsav 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2005 xActly my dear! That's where we ppl forget to look at. High speed connectivity always has an edge over the slower one.

tanveer 59 Report post Posted October 4, 2005 I have free electricity so the bandwidth and the download limit are the limiting factors for me. So i feel stuck up with this stupid sify!
raccoon 53 Report post Posted October 4, 2005 Most of the power ur PC consumes is because of the monitor. I'v noticed very often that most people either dont know; or if they know they aren't bothered to use the Power Saving freatures of their PCs. Set ur monitor to switch off after a specified time of inactivity (keyboard/mouse). You dont need your monitor if your PC is on just to download stuff. I'v set mine to go into power saving mode after 5 minutes.
