Lg Rd2030 Firmware

Recommended Posts

Help pls

I used LG desktop lite of RD2130 (while my handset is RD2030).. somewhere in the web i found i can use this sw by renaming the RD2130connector.dll as RD2030connector.dll..

I did this and looked like it was syncing with the phone... but i didn't know this is the start of my problem..

Phone started behaving funny..

1. It restarts on its own

2. dial pad doesn't work consistently

Firmware looks like corrupted..

LG showroom, supposed to be more knowledgeable on LG products.. declared that water has got inside the handest..inspite of my explanation they refused to accept..

Can i upload the firmware to the phone on my own...

First Now its confirmed that these ASC guys always make an excuse of water marks in the mobile. :P

Once one of my buddy got his mobile's firmware corrupted and when he went to ASC, they told him same that there r some water marks and they hv to replace the board.

After many requests and some JUGADS, they upgraded the firmware and the problem was solved!

Second its not easy to upgrade the firmware on urs own!

First u need the firmware then the method of upgrading it. :(

ok.. yesterday i picked up my handset with wet hands and water actually went inside. The service centre guys say that the board's gone for sure.. he said without opening it that if waters gone inside, a board replacement will cost a little less than 4k.. perfect time to ditch RIM.

4k for that board?? The other day, at the LG ASC, they told me that a board replacement for a 6130 would cost me 551/-... yes... only 551/- !!

hey VB all u need to do is to do a manual service (YES YOURSELF!!), my 2030 has seen the abyss of a damn waterfall at Kharghar ... and since ur mobile has only become a lil wet (and not completely submerged for more than 10 -20 minutes ... as was the case on my side...) do what I explained in this post~!
